Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

His dad died as part of the end of MOS and not like his mother when he was a child. He was the old bloke Bruce was calling at the start in what I assume was Wayne Tower when he was driving his blinging Jeep
ps3ud0

That wasn't his Dad. Bruce was shouting the guys name Jack not Dad. He also told Alfred later in the movie "I am now older than my dad ever was"

Seen it last night...enjoyed it, especially Lex, thought he was great in the end and Affleck as Batman, he was superb, I look forward to his own standalone Batman film now. Not perfect but a good solid film 7/10

Couple of things bugged me like how they resolved their fight over their Mum's name being the same when Superman could have explained that to begin with...also when he decided to 'kick' the Batmobile but didn't really seem to want to know/care about what Batman was actually doing...weird![/QUOTE]

I can't understand the awful reviews for this. Seen it yesterday and while it wasn't the best movie of the last 5 years, it certainly wasn't awful either.

I give it a 7/10.

A few things always bugged me about Man of Steel and this. Why do people always stay in the building when the ones around them are clearly falling to the ground! Run people run!

Jesus - I must be going deaf or something

Cheers for clearing that up - only issue I had with Batman

Hehe np mate, you had me going for a sec too. :)

Totally lost my **** at this:

I hope it was a joke or he was putting it on. You got to remember this is Ben's second time round as a superhero. He for one would have put 200% effort into this role and it shows. He did a excellent job with acting and training. He was ripped.

Just two rushed all the way through like there was too many ideas the director and writers wanted in the movie and not enough movie to lead into it.

Things came, happened and then disappeared so quickly but I still enjoyed the action scenes.

Maybe a directors cut on Blu-ray will be better

Ha, potentially making this film longer will not save it.

The problem is DC being disorganised, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Snyder, 2016), and Man of Steel (Snyder, 2013) being so poorly written.

7/10 from me

Did lex introduce Brianiac at the end of the film as he said that someone has been watching from the stars, waiting for the guardian to die?

the problem is snyder - his films look great but they are soulless and not much fun.
his idea of an emotional scene is to have too loud music so we 'know' what we are supposed to feel.

6/10 after watching it last night. I wouldn't recommend it to people if they are just a casual fan of the superhero movies.

It's definitely a movie for the people who know the comic books in my opinion.

Ben Affleck did a terrific job in his role I have to say.

The sad thing about this movie is the dream sequences would have made a much more interesting movie with a corrupted superman. Instead we get a movie with the now bog standard maguffin of kryptonite, and the most pointless scene in the movie his "death" even though the end of the movie pretty much says nope with the soil rising on the coffin. Don't really see the point of a dying scene when everyone knows he'll be back in another movie, utterly pointless.

And is it me or is Lex Luthor an incredibly annoying little **** in this, and not in a good way either, just irritating.

Enjoyed this film, but I'm glad I watched it in 3D IMAX. Storyline wasn't very cohesive but it was enjoyable film overall and I thought Affleck was great.

Not gonna give it a rating but I thought it was pretty naff from start to finish. Each to their own though.

Saw it this afternoon in Falkirk. Don't know if there is something wrong with their 3d set-up as the film was very poor and one of the worst 3d I have seen, the film was also so dark even during daylight and it kept going out of focus. This is a film I do not want to watch again because of the problems. Can somebody who has seen it in 3d agree with me or not. I was brought up on both heroes and have nothing against the acting nor the story.
