When I bought my old 60D I thought the swivel screen was just a gimmick but it came in very useful for macro stuff, and shots when I was in cramped spaces. That being said, I didn't use it much, but if it came with a camera at no extra cost it wouldn't bother me a bit, especially as you just rotate it around to lock in as a standard display. Add to that, it allows you to protect it when not in use, so overall I'd prefer it for that reason alone.
Touchscreen does seem to be a gimmick as far as still photography, but I could see a use if doing video. Personally I'm not overly keen on cameras crossing over to video, I think they should do separate models for these things, but only if it reduced the cost of the still camera. Because that's what I want
As for GPS and wifi, I REALLY do not see a need to have geo tagging on your images, especially at the cost of battery life. If you're desperate for that, buy an external device. I'd have thought wifi would be more handy with the the top end cameras and the 7D type cameras, as I could see those users wanting to transmit images to remote storage for immediate processing or backup on the fly.
Still, what do I know?
