CoolIT Systems - 240mm ECO info

I have the 182 SE as well :) love it, but the top fan lends itself to modding fairly easily possibly? or the front?

Yeah, you could cut another blowhole in the top and mount it up there possibly. Not sure about the front, not much room anywhere for a 240 without sacrificing 5.25" bays. May be possible in the bottom section if you remove the HDDs and mount them in 5.25 bays. Don't think the tubes would reach however.

Anyone know if it will fit inside the antec 1200 at the back? by the looks of it it's gonna be a tight fit or may not go there at all being so close to the top of the case

Yep, not sure it's going to fit, someone had problems fitting a 240 GT black ice rad at the back because of the bit sticking out at the top.. looks like not gonna fit unless it's cut away

anybody else gonna take a saw to their case? i didnt want to have to do that tbh

bah

Any test results yet? :p

I was also reading around about the Freezone Elite, it seems decent but at higher voltages water cooling gets better temps, i think because of the time it was made it was more for core 2 duo/core 2 quad time so it doesnt handle i7 as well, i guess it's the way TEC's work. So i think a 240mm ECO should do very well, also if its successful then i suppose it should be better than any hs/fan combo to come in the future correct?

Barry where are the results? :p

I'm not sure i'll need a new case to fit a radiator properly, but if i do have to buy a new case i'll make sure it can fit more than the eco 240 because i am interested in the omni cooler as well, bit wasteful to spend more money on a new case but if i have to then i might.

Hope the Radiator is thicker than the 120 ?

Would not count on it, but who knows.

as for cases, i may need a new one so i was wondering if anybody knew a good case that can take say 2 x 120.3 rads, just to be future proofed, wont actually need rads that size but i want room for the future, so i can fit 2 240mm's with no problem.. but i dont want to have to mod the case to fit those.
Any cases like that? did a google search but it brings up too much with no straight answer

it's so i can put a 240mm ECO for now, then maybe the OMNI alc if it turns out good.

The mistake NorthQ made with it's Siberian Tiger II 240mm was they sold it under the crazy idea that twice the radiator equal twice the selling price of the 120mm so it wasn't around long as nobody bought it as they priced themselfs out of the market as for the money people can build their own custom 360mm loop.

Sounds good, will be interesting to see the gains from the 120 to 240. Considering going for one of these and the GPU solution should they perform decently.

Hi Barry, one thing I'd consider when selling\buying this is if there is an option to get some kind of mounting for the growing in popularity of the 140mm fans, I'd be willing to get one of these as I've currently got an ALC and love the little bugger.

I wouldnt bother with fans or do a fanless version...keep the cost down because a lot of people who are willing to go this far are going to want things just so and probably already have fans to use.
