CoolIT Systems - 240mm ECO info

Hey Guys - sorry for the long wait. Results are in and we are going to start taking orders here pretty soon.

Test Conditions:
Intel i7 920 (CO stepping) CPU running at 1.35V (Bios) 1.345V (Actual)
Clocked at: 167*21 = 3507 MHZ

Stress Testing Software: Prime 95 Blend Test
Temperature Readout Software: CoreTemp
Other Software: Asus AI Suite

Ambient Temperature: 24.8 degrees Celsius

Notes:
*All Fans were run at 12V, without regulation
*All configurations were equipped with ECO Fans

ECO-R240
Core 1 - 68
Core 2 - 63
Core 3 - 68
Core 4 - 62
Average - 65.25

Sorry we couldn't test it on any of our D0 chips but they are all in rigs that are travelling around right now. IIRC the D0's typically run 5 - 7 degrees cooler at equivalent voltages don't they?

Anyways - I'm quite happy with the performance and acoustics. We'll run some more tests when the other machines are back but it should be a nice cool and quiet 4.0 and probably a 4.2 for some of you depending on your chip, ambient, chassis, skillz etc.

Questions? Fire away

The product sounds promising and I would definitely consider it for my next rig come august if the price is right. Going to keep my eye on the developments for sure.

Also, I'm quite surprised this hasn't been mentioned in the thread as far as I can see, but including an extra set of screws would be an excellent gesture. A substantial number of our more enthusiastic clockers quite fancy the idea of fitting another set of fans in a push/pull configuration with systems of this type.

While by no means a great issue, It has proven to be an avoidable inconvenience for many. As far as customer input goes, it's little things like this that matter.

i'll be buying one, allready have the holes dremmeled out of the top of my Lian Li case from where I had custom water cooling installed a few years back (now just setup with a couple of 120 fans). It will only be cooling a Q6600 for now, but I feel the upgrade bug on the horizon, so it will be nice to have a contained unit ready for the future.

Infact im kind of waiting for this to hit OCUK so I can order some other bits :D

Hey Guys - good news!

We're going to open up a build to order program where you will be able to get 240mm ECO or Vantage and even 2 x 120mm or 240mm rads w/ fans mounted in between. All sealed, maintenance free and ready to install.

There will be lead times associated with each build and I'm still working out the best way to handle shipping to the UK (shipping of individual orders is possible but expensive) but the good news is there will be a lot of new configs available including some really high end stuff.

Cheers,

Barry

When will this stuff be outlined on your site and ready for order?

Hi Barry, any idea if this would fit into a Silverstone Fortress FT02B? Planning a new build, currently with an H50 but if this is a better no hassle water cooling system then I'm definitely interested :)

Barry? Thank-you.

PICS!!!

Does that mean the "built to order" stuff will be ready for placing orders by weeks end?
I'm kinda in a big hurry, I really need something within 3wks tops... :( Thanks.

Barry, some kind of update (as opposed to silence) on this would be appreciated.

I note your site does have placements for the custom stuff...
But I heard that you don't have rads yet, so it'll be more than just the 2-3wk lead time.

Plus we haven't seen any proper performance data yet....
Thank-you.

I wonther whether price/performance will actually pay off or whether it'll be minor gains for a lot of added hassle. A 140mm Rad could've fit more cases, and been cheaper.
