CoolIT Systems - 240mm ECO info

Well my mate ordered a 240 today for me from the Coolit site and will be posting it over. It says ready to ship in 2 days. I went for the quad fan option. This saves me spending $100 plus on FedEx shipping. I've getting annoyed with the constant buzzing from the H50 pump (and this is my 2nd one and my mates buzzes too) so this will be a change.

Will the 240 fit in my 800D setup below ?
[Because I have my sidepanel modded with 2 140mm fans to blow onto the gpu's, the H50 tubes have to be where they are. In fact the left edge of the top fans casing on the sidepanel almost touches the right water cooling tube. I am hoping the 240 won't be an issue.]

Hey Flanno,

Yep, she'll go in there no problem. really looking forward to seeing your results too as lots of people are playing the waiting game. The tubes on the C240 come off the end of the rad (for you near your hdd bays) and shouldn't be near your side panel fans.

I left samples at OCUK and I know the guys tested but for some reason haven't put up their results yet (though I hear it was quite positive). I will have to give them a nudge to post up in this thread.

I'll be here.

I have read one review for this and it was positive enough for me to look seriously at the C240 but more reviews would certainly be good. This can be had in the UK for £100 although not at OcUK yet although i am hoping they will be competitive with that price so i can buy everything here rather then having to go elsewhere. Come on OcUK if you have had these long enough to do some tests get the results up so we can have something to judge this on as this seems a no brainer if it performs over the corsairs.

Barry are you shipping these with screws for additional fans as push\pull does yield better results and that would be better then having to buy extra. Main thing is to get more of these out there for reviews and if you have to start stepping on some of those reviewers to get the posts up for people looking to buy a cooler in the future as right now one review while good is not enough.

Hopefully I will have my 240 sometime next week. I'm expecting a H50 tommorrow so will compare. I'm going to run them with Akasa Vipers in push/pull as I want PWM control.

Cool! Please share your results Flanno, and thanks!
I'd love to see a comparo between it, the LCLC 240mm, & the NQ-3590.

Even though both are quite rare in the retail channel nowadays...
It'd be interesting to see what areas (if any) the Eco 240mm improves in over these two, which are in the same segment.

Hey dude, where did you order your ECO 240 from?? Ive looked but cant find any instock. Do you know when this is expected to be in stock in the uk? Also how much did you pay for yours? Its just i wanna buy like now! haha, thanks in advance.

My mate who lives in the US has ordered 2 from the CoolIT site directly, 1 for each of us. So I guess when I receive it will depend on when he gets it plus add a few days for it to get over to Ireland. I'd hope to have it sometime next week.

Hammer email me and i will tell you the only place i have seen it advertised in the UK although OcUK are meant to have stock coming in nothing on their site yet :).

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-002-CI, have just found it in on this website. £117 wow!! thats more expensive than i had hoped for, i was looking to spend £100 max, thats pretty much dollar to pound pricing its completley unfair, i need something to cool my i7 930 @ 4ghz, not only that though it needs to be quiet which is why i am interested in this over the h70, however at this pricing i could buy the h70 and stick on two black apache fans and still have £20 left over. Owell.

H70 isn't worth it mate. Why don't you go for H50?

Shop around guys sadly OcUK are not competitive and as much as i like getting my stuff from OcUK as i do trust them and find them more helpful then many others there is only so much of a premium i am prepared to pay for that.
