WoT. Definitely an lol ok moment.
Does anybody actually use that gaming evolved app for gaming ? Like for optimizing ?
Not sure if this has been said, but one thing I do find exciting with DirectX 12 is that (assuming it gets adopted as well as other DirectXs have) it could really move games forward. It won't happen immediately but once developers don't have to support hardware that doesn't support DX12 they can starting pushing things by developing the games from the ground up with DX12's capabilities in mind.
It seems unlikely any API other than DirectX could really do this as most games would still have to work on DirectX 11 in order to have a decent (viable?) customer base.
Let's just hope that Microsoft actually pull it off! (and that developers use it)
Much has been made about the benefits of Microsoft’s recently revealed DirectX 12 API. While some proclaim its capability of increasing performance for the Xbox One, others have doubted whether it can actually do much more than increase the efficiency of the hardware.

It certainly doesn't do much for me, i have seen as much as 130% CPU overhead reduction in Mantle and i think it can do a lot more than even that.DirectX 12 50% Reduction In CPU Overhead Doesn’t Result In Enhanced PopcornFX Particle Effects
How can you see 130% CPU reduction? Doesn't that mean it's using no CPU and in fact it's given you an extra 30% CPU ?

My minimum Frame Rates are increased by 130% and the CPU bottleneck eliminated, and i do mean eliminated.
Yeah, that's not 130% CPU overhead reduction, I don't doubt the gains at all though.

Also, is the DX12 set up and testing scenario exactly the same as your own? If not, then isn't the comparison kind of... You know.. Irrelevant?
I'm not going to kid myself into thinking DX12 will bring Mantle gains....
I do recall you being one of the pack in the "DX12 = Mantle", and it's obviously not.
