*** Elden Ring ***

Agreed DLC is incredible. Bosses generally felt fair...I haven't done bayle or Gaius but that's more down to personal preference. I think my favourite was Putrescent Knight.
I think Gaius might be the worst boss on reflection, it just felt wonky all the way through with absurd damage spikes and dodgy attacks.

Bayle was probably one of the best just for the pure spectacle and the all in NPC that you can summon, the camera was still iffy at times though, but that's the case for most of the large scale enemies/bosses.

Samurai first play through update, so I managed to have a good session the last couple days. I'm level 129 now, I killed the main boss snake thing in a volcano manor on my second attempt. Struggled with the boss on top the mountain which took too many attempts and gave up. No idea but I went underground for a fair few hours and killed some nasty two minotaurs then explored nearby ruins and found a mimic summons. Omg that is a game changer. I killed the boss on the mountain on my first go with this summons.
I then went into this red blood area and found a boss in a temple called mohg? This summons almost done all the work and we killed him on my second go, he kept getting staggard and I went behind him and stabbed him.
I've just left my session at I'm guessing I'm at the main capital as it has the massive tree. I killed another tree guy like there was near the very start of the game, well my mimic did and saved just inside.

Should I be there yet, is this near the end of the game already, my save says I've played for 38 hours which for an open world game sounds a bit short?
Is this mimic the best summons I've accidentally found as it's doing most of these boss fights for me,?

Okay thanks, I'm only guessing as the person in the safe area gives a list of bosses I need to beat and there's only one left and I'm guessing he's at that castle with the big tree. Maybe I still have some way to go then.

Unless you haven't died very much, I'd say you've still got a lot of exploring to do! I was up to 170 hours and around the same level at the end of Crumbling Farum Azula & that's the penultimate area.

The dieing on the open world section where your aloud a horse to help in fights pretty much stopped which I don't think unfortunately Fromsoftware quite tested. I died more to traps in caves rather than bosses. So far Witcher 3 has been harder. But if I still have some way to go the difficulty might ramp up.
Still enjoying it though and was a pleasure to see my 80+ year old grandad complete this.

I wish you could remove smithing stones from weapons to try upgrading other weapons. I have so many weapons, but I end up just using that curved bloodhound sword as its upgraded to +7 and every other weapon seems weak in comparison. Its just too expensive to upgrade weapons for testing as the stones are so hard to come by. So you end up with hundreds of unused weapons...

Saying that, I just got a really cool looking serpent katana that I might take a gamble on upgrading as it just looks too good not to use.

The location above is Elden Rings save folder, copy it to desktop, then experiment with your gameplay/build, and if it goes bad just copy back in the old save folder.

You can buy all of the smithing stones bar the ancient ones from the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable keep. I've just switched to using Bloodhound's Fang too & it absolutely slaps!

I thought that was only if you found the bell bearings.

Delanion is the GOAT summon, if you know, you know.

Don't know who that is.
Just had a quick session managed to kill the big gold boss and the main one after him both on my first try. Should I stop using mimic as it seems like I'm cheating, or am I still in the tutorial section?
There's a door/tree that is sealed now I'm being told by the woman NPC to head elsewhere I think land of giants?
Gone up a couple levels now at 131 and clocked 38hrs.

Thanks, I'll have a play with this later. I have found some really cool weapons, like the Guts greatsword that I want to give a try.

Yeah I got some of them, but I'm assuming the higher numbered stone bell bearings will come late game.

The Bloodhound sword is awesome and I love the ash of war move. I coupled it with a talisman that lowers FP use and its great for melting mobs. I only recently found out its an OP weapon that a lot of people use to make the game easier, but I didn't know that when I stared using it and I'm not too bothered. I still get wrecked by Radan every time I go back for another go.

The Bloodhound sword can also be buffed by spells and incantations to add fire and magic damage for some extra damage boost, which is really cool waving a flaming sword around :D
