What if I wanted to quote a few paragraphs of text?
Highlight the text and select reply, see the attachment. The old forum worked the same way.

If you want to add more paragraphs, select them and either use multi quote or you can highlight and click reply and they all get added to your reply.

I'm not seeing that option in Firefox. I don't use the forums on my mobile, so perhaps the two are different?

You don't see the standard reply button in bottom right?

Are you running custom themes?
No, I just use OcUK's own blue theme, completely unmodified apart from a few rules in uBlock Origin to make more space. Even with uBo disable, nothing changes.

I don’t use Firefox at all but on all the other browsers I’ve used, desktop or mobile, the multi and reply options are there when I highlight text.
This is all I get:

Okay that worked, I see what you mean now. But what I meant earlier was, what if I wanted wanted to copy and paste some text and insert it as a quote? There isn't a quote button.
You mean from somewhere else - so not quoting a post but say a document or something?

The "Multi" button in the toolbar (looks like a double quote character: ) gives you an empty quote box you can type or paste into.

Some text here

I think he means text from another site?
That's right. Sometimes I might want to copy and paste text, say from a BBC article. I usually copy and paste it, to retain the formatting, otherwise I'll just remove the formatting if it messes fonts up, etc.

Ahh, that’s possible.

Paste it into the reply box, highlight it, hit the three dots and select the quote icon.
I'm not seeing a quote icon when I click the three dots.

Or when I highlight the text.

isnt it literally 2 icons to the left of the 3 dots?

what I don't understand is that, isn't this exactly as it was before, just with a different word now for this action, but otherwise it is basically all the same process and same area that the buttons are/were?

Okay I am a bit confused now. When I tried copying and pasting a few lines of text from Notepad and clicked that button, they were all quoted in one box.

Earlier, when I was editing a quote of several lines of text, when I pressed Enter the box split. I think this is why I thought the multi button wasn't what I wanted. It seems that you split the quote when editing pressing Enter.
