Games you're playing, and games...

Nobody playing Remnant 2??

I still don't know what I'm doing but enjoying it anyway. Had some good progression, played very late saturday while too drunk. Went to log in on Sunday afternoon and was met with the character creation screen. Seems my character has been deleted. I either held down the triangle button at start up, then confirmed I wanted total deletion on Saturday night or the latest update has reset it. Both just as likely as each other :(
Harsh dude, your drunk self hates you, how long had you been playing it for?

I really don't know how I did it! Was only 10 hours or so but had some sweet armour and had done quite a bit of the story with two really good randoms. Started again Sunday.

I've been sinking serious hours into the Witcher 3. The most I've played a game in years. Once I've finished work, gym and had dinner I just spend the rest of the evening completely lost in it! It's been a long time since this has happened

A straw poll not long ago on here revealed there are two types of Witcher players on this forum. Those that absolutely love it and those that uninstalled it when they were repeatedly killed by the Griffin near the start :p

I've got to the end boss solo but been unable to beat the 2nd phase. In adventure mode I took down the Nightweaver boss for the 1st time today.

I'm absolutely no good solo. Get sidetracked and killed too easily. I am not sure however if co-op progression counts towards solo progression. I am not sure how it can given how random some of the levels are. I have fought two separate bosses at the end of the Asylum part on two separate occasions.

So started Bloodborne again and a 30fps game with uneven framepacing and jaggy graphics is more fun and deeper than most PS5 titles I've played since I bought one, lol.

Almost forgot how atmospheric it is and how good it feels to play once you adjust to the framerate (I can never fully adjust but if there's a game I'd make an exception for, it's this one).

If this ever gets a remake, oh wow.

I replayed it recently on PS5 to do a Chikage build, 'tis indeed phenomenal.
Strangely I never had any issues with the framerate. I'm normally quite sensitive to it - noticed it badly in Sekiro and even tried turning on BFI on my TV to help - but was surprised to see so many complaints about it.
A Demon's Souls esque remake in a few years on next gen would be awesome.

I found it surprisingly easy to adjust to 30fps in this, I usually have more problems than that in newer titles. Of course it still takes a little while when you jump from 60fps but I'm more concentrated on how good the game is, I guess:P

I've just arrived at Cainhurst Castle, after discovering the secret passage back to the clinic, was a certain wow moment to find i looped myself back round! Not explored much of the castle yet but it seems inviting...

Played some more, defeated Papa G and did a sweep of Central Yharnam.

Yup, 30fps is a non-issue in this for me, some games feel terrible but I hardly notice it here after 5 mins for some reason.

Can't wait to jump into Old Hunters and fight the bosses again:D

It feels so good to reexperience the level design, atmosphere and the thrill of the boss fights again:)

Did you do the Chalice dungeons at all? I thought they were a bit of a slog at first, but after a while and experiencing the new enemies/difficulty buffs I found it quite enjoyable to finish for the platinum, and wished they'd re-used the idea in some form for Sekiro and DS3.

Yeah, but I only got to Depth 4 IIRC as I sold my PS4 soon after, will try to complete them all this time but not looking forward to the Watchdog:P

I've not even touched the Chalices yet, what excatly are they?

Just beaten Martyr Logarius, phew that was intense!! Probably the hardest boss yet, he was just relentless

They're optional side dungeons that have different "depths" assigned to them, which signifies difficulty basically (1-5). Root chalices are randomly generated, normal chalices are fixed. They have unique bosses and some of the hardest ones on depth 4-5.

If you talked with Gehrman often, he mentions some lore behind them. Generally always try to exhaust dialogue with everyone, Gehrman, Doll, Eileen, other NPCs, people hiding in their houses etc., you can learn a lot about the world and often progress quests, like the girl waiting for her mother and the old lady you can direct to a safe place in Central Yharnam.

Ah I see, might give them a shot then, didn't know they were optional, incidentally I just found out Martyr Logarius was an optional boss! Makes me think now which other bosses were optional lol, ah well its all good fun and decent experience :D

Gerhman is that dude in a wheelchair right? I spoke to him the Hunters Dream then he vanished, never saw him again
