Games you're playing, and games...

Does anyone know roughly how long Persona 5 is? lol

I am level 20 and just completed the 2nd palace - I am still getting tutorial messages, is this common throughout - or is this game damn huge and I have not even scratched the surface yet?

Fantastic game so far, the mechanics and the dialogue is superb

I just finished first Palace. Loving the game!. You are right about dialogue and mechanics. It's just so damn cool.

I'm not even put off by the setting. It's really fun.

I have almost reach the end of the 4th palace, and the game has improved immensely, it does open up more as you progress which is nice, as it did feel quite linear (and i suppose it still is in a sense) but you need to manage your time

The story line is tremendous, very happy I stuck with this as I never really found the appeal of these sort of games, but i'm hooked!

Just finished Killzone (PS3 version of PS2 game). Graphics look awful considering it came out around the same time as Half Life 2 although the characters' faces were pretty good. The gameplay was not bad, albeit very basic FPS. Some of the enemies were bullet sponges and I was only razzing through it on easy difficulty just to see the story play out.

Now starting Killzone 2 and it's eye popping the difference between the PS2 and PS3 tech.

Still playing days gone. I was kind of hoping it would be finished by now but it seems to drag on a bit.

Just dusted off my ps4 pro, and purchased Days Gone, have been xbox the last 2 years so have missed a lot of ps exclusives, bit bored with most games so thought I would try some exclusives on the PS, and days gone is on sale for £15.99 digitally, so seems a bargain.

Just finished up a new play through of The Last Of Us and the DLC as a refresher for TLOU2, this time on hard difficulty which wasn't actually that hard, wish I done Survivor now

Ah well, roll on next week!

Just finished Killzone 2. I'd forgotten just how epic some bits of that game are. What a pity that it's trapped on the PS3 at 720p, less than 30fps in parts and with horrendous input latency. I didn't think I was going to be able to finish the final battle as the lag on PS Now + the game itself was tortuous!

How is it? It's one of the exclusives I've put off getting, worth it in your opinion?

Absolutely worth it, apparently it had quite a few bugs at launch, and now after a year or so a lot have been fixed, so its best time to play it at a bargain price.

I'm only early game but it seem's like its going to be very good fun, and the map looks like it will be very interesting to explore.

I'm trying once more to play Spiderman. I'm just finding it so boring. I've started and stopped about 4 times now.

I don't know what's with this game because it looks good and the gameplay nails Spidey movement really well but it gets really old quickly. I personally couldn't finish it, it felt overbloated with collectibles and mundane stuff from open world games like towers and all.

I think that's it. It looks great, the story and characters all seem fine. The movement is great. The actual gameplay though... I've done it all before so many times. I think The "Arakham" combat style has run its course with me tbh.

Haven't even tried Spiderman yet but if it has Arkham style combat I'll pass. I completed 2 of Batman Arkham games but by the one with tanks in it I was just sick with the hand to hand combat and those damn tanks.

Why can't Batman KO simple thugs easily and quickly with all kinds of moves? Having to do that faceplant "finisher" for efficiency was so dull and repetitive. The major frustration of waiting around for stealth. Ugh. The first game got it right with smaller number of enemies but after that it was just tiresome. You could KO them in a freeform way but only after far too many hits. By far the best way was swoop in to drop then instant faceplant, grapple to stealth then rinse and repeat, so boring. Similar deal with the Shadow of War games, waiting around and rinse and repeat.

I'm so done with small amounts of enemies that are bullet sponges or take a long time to kill like Arkham games, rather than a ton of easy ones like Serious Sam or Dynasty Warriors games.

Serious Sam especially nailed the simple joy of wrecking shop in utter mayhem, too many combat games are overly technical without enough enemies at once.

Love the Killzone series, even Shadow Fall on the PS4 was good. Quite underappreciated but a quality shooter if a little short.

Yeah, I've just played the original trilogy now. Man, I'm so sad they didn't get ports to PS4/PC for a better resolution and framerate. There are some fantastic sequences in 2 and 3. Going to wait until PS5 before playing Shadow Fall again as it has an unlocked framerate option so might get up to 60fps.

Coming to the end of unchartered 4 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd put it on a par with the first one, definitely better than 2 and 3 imo. Also it looks absolutely gorgeous in HDR.

Not sure what to go for next. Might have a look at Detroit - Become Human as I've not played anything like that before.

Finally managed to beat Ori and the Blind Forest on One Life mode. I started trying at the start of lockdown. I may try and beat Ori and the Will of the Wisps without dying but, the sandworm escape scene is giving me second thoughts...
