As I'm an LCD newbie I have to ask. Why would you disable vsync when using an LCD ?
When running at more then 60fps you only see 60fps ?
When running at less than 60pfs you see less than 60fps ?
As philjohn says, you see some small input lag (which is more noticable when you have a TFT with some built-in lag already, and maybe more lag from ping in online games).
But more importantly, not all games properly support triple-buffer vsync. This means that with vsync enabled you will get sudden jumps in framerate. For example, if your card could output 61fps, you would see 60, which is great. But as soon as the maximum framerate the card could output drops below 60, the displayed framerate drops to 30.
30fps isn't ideal, but the real killer is the constant switching between the different regimes. It really ruins the illusion of motion. Only integer-divisions of the maximum framerate are available, ie: 60fps, 30fps, 20, 15, 12, 10 etc...
