Hazro - Any Update?

You bet. When i spoke to Hazro they were very friendly and helpful. But being overseas with a broken monitor and not hearing anything for a week makes me nervous. Especially since i paid 550euro. They definitely need to speed up their service process.

Im an overseas buyer too. The best way to get through to them is to send them a web mail every couple of days. They will respond eventually (I think sometimes they just don't get them.) Otherwise send me a private PM and I will try to help further with the contacts I have.

Just a quick question - on the Hazro webnote thingy - the image verification text - do you just type in the black letters. I always seem to succeed in submitting the form, but I am now worried that it's been 8 days since I submitted. (I've also submitted one every 3 days since then).

Hi All,
Just recieved my HZ24Wi yesterday and plugged it into my dual 2ghz G5 mac and i had the green flashing pixels but only on DVI not on HDMI or VGA.
Today i have calibrated it using the apple software(crap i know) and still there are there.
I have just turned it on and off repeatedly using the button on the screen and they are gone!!! well apart from one or two!
My next question is that if i use a DVI to HDMI lead will this reduce the quality? because i dont seem to get any problems on HDMI- when connected to my nikon D300.
Has anyone else sorted the green pixel thing out??
I have to say i am a little annoyed with it all as my mac friends did say just ALWAYS buy apple! and i didnt coz i got the Hazro on the B-stock deal!
Cheers
Ben

I have used this three times the past week without a response.

Have you checked your spam filter, see if they're being perceived as spam.

Just don't understand why they are taking so long unless they're snowed under, as said I had a reply within minutes, 12 to be exact.

Have you tried using another DVI cable? I wonder if the screen has the updated firmware. What version is it?

I did. unfortunately i did not receive anything. :( i also put two phone numbers in all the emails i sent so if they feel i don't receive their mails they can always call me.

I just got an email from overclockers.co.uk too. I asked them if i can return the monitor tomorrow, because i feel it is taking too long with Hazro. They replied very fast and said they haven't even heard from Hazro yet! I have to get back to them tomorrow for an update.

Thanks, i will keep this in mind.

I have a DVI cable and a HDMI to DVI cable on order so ill report back when they arrive! How do i find out what version it is?
Also i hear people talking about firmware upgrades! Can that be done by the user?
I emailed Hazro a few days ago about the issues and haven't received a reply!
Maybe i should send it back and buy an apple 23"! any ideas?

Ben

Just hit menu on osd control and then go to the 'Tool' / 'misc' section.
It will display your firmware there.

Yes, when you want a firmware upgrade you would have to send it back.
Your display most likely has 2.1 as all recent ones have. There won't be another upgrade till february as i have read.

edit.

I just got a, again very polite, call from Hazro. Finally. :)

For support don't use the webform, because its not read by the support department.
Use : [email protected] at any time you need support.

I will receive address details to return the monitor direcly to Hazro. I will pay shipping costs. Hazro will pay costs to send back.
Monitor will either be repaired or replaced.

Hazro new policy for resellers: No warranty available on international purchases!

In my case i have 3 year warranty. And i would guess other international customers who have already bought have this too.

They told me this process would initially take two weeks, but in my case they have speed up now.

Within minutes after phone call i received email with address for return and instructions.

I must say i feel much better about this now. :)

I have just emailed OCUK outlining the problem and asking if they have a fix from Hazro, if not i do feel i will return the display! Just on a side note tho has anyone tried a DVI to HDMI cable? as the DVI seemed fine on my display!
Anyway at the moment i will wait and see what OCUK have to say.

I agree, from experience, I know Hazro dont come back to you immediately, but when they do (usually by phone and always helpful btw - and chatty!!), things are sorted there and then...that patience/virtue line comes to mind

Hi All,
I have just plugged in a DVI to HDMI cable and it seems to be working fine!
So fingers crossed this has sorted it out.
As for those who asked what version am i on it says
HZ24W ver. 2.1

I'm thinking about taking the plunge and ordering a 30"-er.

Does anyone have an estimate as to when they're due in stock?

Also... has anyone found any problems with this model? The issues reported above seem to be mainly related to the 24" and 26" panels, but I'm not sure if this is just because more people have gone for these models?

Any other reason to consider the smaller screen instead?!

I suppose it depends on what you want, there are probably better displays out there but for me the Hazro looks so much nicer! and i cant really bring myself to put a bit-o-plastic next to my nice alu mac! oh they are also at a good price! Tho if i were you id have a look at other displays and if u go hazro buy a couple of leads aswell, as i said B4 im running on DVI to HDMi cable coz it works!
