Hazro - Any Update?

AHHHH! I SEE IT NOW!

basically what you need to do before it shuts down is press the "input select button" then scroll to the DVI input and BAM! DVI signal :p

It's not particularly clear on WTF is going on when you startup on a non active input :p

TELL ME WHERE TO SEND DA MONEY YOU BEAUTIFUL MAN!!

ok. thanks for that. Now on to a new problem. Horizontal blue lines flickering- occasioanal screen blackout? any pointers mrk? This is all new to me! I just want to get Lightroom working, I've got a baby to feed!

Blue lines? possible to record a video of this maybe ? I know of green flickering on the 24" but not blue on the 26"

That may actually help but I don't know if they are available via DVI? Gonna try this on mine tonight for the green snow that appears on rare occasions!

Stonyclaws, sounds like the same thing i have. + I also have to turn on the screen many times because the screen is completely white on start. I have the horizontal blue/green lines on the dvi input and the white screen problem isn't related to any input. It even happens when nothing is connected to it.

The hard reset won't work.

Hazro still has to call me back. Its been three working days + weekend now. I am getting quite angry with this monitor. And everyday i am getting more angry and more impatient.

Luckily i got a mail from overclockers.co.uk too saying they will help me after all. If i wish i can return the monitor for replacement or refund. So right now i have two options. I am just waiting for Hazro for final verdict.

Hazro's QA team seem to focus on the quality of their service rather than quantity of customers being served at once. Thats fair enough, but I can imagine getting quite restless if I was in your position.

I am considering a Hazro HZ24Wi, now that I have the option of committing to a new monitor again. Does anyone know if this "green snow" effect appears over HDMI (via the PS3)? Or is it just a GPU-based problem?

I have never had a white screen(knock on wood) so far and my blue lines have vanished. I ask no questions. praise Jeebus that it is working properly. Did I mention mrk is King!...

There is no charge for awesomeness.

Or attractiveness!

The was Po's best line in my opinion! :D

And for those that are getting the Blue lines in addition to green snow:

Blue lines are just the stronger version of green snow. There are a few ways to deal with this:
-Turn you monitor on and off.
-Use Powerstrip to change the refresh rate timings.

Both options will be temporary in any case. The third option that people have had good results with is this; if you have two DVI ports on your video card, and can change which one is the default for driving the monitor, that will most likely get rid of both the green snow and blue lines. I haven't personally tried this option, as I only have one DVI port, but this solution seems to have the most positive results.

The last option is to just use VGA. it is actually really clear and it is hard for me to tell the difference, and I promise there will be no artifacts, but the drawback of this option is that it doesn't change resolutions as well as DVI. So if you play games at various resolutions, then this might be a problem for you.

Ok, two cents spent.

Do you mean resolution changes are slow via VGA perhaps? I do have 2 DVI ports and also HDMI output so will give them a try before my next calibration run :) I just need a good quality HDMI cable now!

What i mean is that for my particular setup, if a game or application changes the resolution of the monitor on the fly, more often than not the monitor will stop responding. It could be only my system, but in general I felt that the DVI connection, even with green snow, was more stable when dealing with any change in resolution.

I too have been waiting for Hazro to reply to my online ticket since Wednesday last week. I'm not very happy. I haven't even received a "we've got your message and will look into it" reply to make me feel warm.

I'm still waiting to get my firmware upgrade on my 26Wi! Sent a ticket two days ago but nothing as yet. They usually replied by now in the past. Last email from them stated that they would start the recall process two weeks ago. They must be rammed at the moment!

Just got a reply and they say I have to fill in the online form for the returns process. As well as fixing the banding issue, do you think I should request the luminance reduction also or leave it as is? Is it worth changing?

If you like your luminance level it is better to play it safe and keep it the way it is. Some of us who had it lowered had the left side unbalanced from the right side.

That is also to say that you have a choice in the matter. If they are going to fix the banding with an upgraded firmware they may have also integrated the luminance setting into it as well. Just make sure you get a confirmation of what you will be getting back so there are no surprises.

Tomorrow will be a week after i last spoke Hazro and there is still no news. Email stays silent and i don't have a direct phone #. If there is no news tomorrow i will send the screen back to Overclockers. Main reason is that i don't want to keep this monitor too long (next week will be 3 weeks) and i reaaaaaaaaally (:p) would like to move on. I just hope Hazro won't be hard on me in the future when i have a warranty case. I still expect to receive the 3 year warranty.

but I can imagine getting quite restless if I was in your position.

You bet. When i spoke to Hazro they were very friendly and helpful. But being overseas with a broken monitor and not hearing anything for a week makes me nervous. Especially since i paid 550euro. They definitely need to speed up their service process.
