Hazro - Any Update?

XP or Vista don't have software solutions natively but Windows 7 does, you could give that a try since RC 7100 just came out on the leakwebs :)

Ok, i just sent another message via webform and e-mail . For five months I have been trying to get the Hazro bracket to VESA mount my Hazro 24" WI on wall. But i don't get a single reply on my messages.

So 48hrs later and no reply.

for those saying like go.mole it take over a month to get a reply i cant see how...not if i get a reply within 24hrs?

so in my opinion i can only say after starting to believe everyone about their warranty/RMA and communication problems they are back on top.

 :p

3-5mm? that's like half a centimetre. Doesn't seem normal to me.

Can you post a picture of the bit you are referring to?

jeness i have no idea about them not getting back to you but i suppose it depends on which department your trying to contact or whatever the question is regarding.

i was told by the manager that they have a different teams of staff for the different sizes and my RMA was dealt with on the phone by a supervisor/manager from the part that deals with the larger 30" models.

and if i remeber was you asking about the availability of a vesa backplate?
if so they are awaiting a shipment which is due around may/june and i think someone posted (maybe mrk or phil) other details couple of pages back.

i hink they just flew of the shelve due to the low cost:)

LCD panels can get very hot with the backlights blaring on full and you need somewhere for the heat expansion to go. Agreed 5 mm is a lot, but I assume that's just a guesstimate and it's probably closer to 2-3.

I got an emai lfrom them yesterday saying that two new 1920x1200 screens (so 24" and 26") are on their way before July. No official announcement or anything, so this could slip a bit, and theres no other specs to go along with that.

I only asked about 24", but I imagine that a new 30" will come along at around the same time as the others.
Also, there wasnt any differentiation between these being Pro or Value screens, as mentioned elsewhere, so it could be the Value range...

Interesting to see the new ones and what they are capable of plus featureset!

As a side note, the 24Wi is still going strong, I had some incidents of it going into sleep and not waking up requiring a power cycle to get it back but I now think this may have been gfx drivers.

Calibration wise though things have improved somewhat.

I was getting a black level of 0.42 before then 42, then 40 and now 39 so it does seem over several months black levels are improving from their already good values (for an IPS screen).

Needless to say I have no problems playing dark games, right now it's Dark Athena which I am enjoying thoroughly! just wish they put in a strict 16:10 resolution instead of letterboxing 1920x1200 !

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's still possible to get Hazro to perform the 1.0 to 2.1 update? I've got one of their ver. 1.0 HZ24Wi screens and have recently noticed it is introducing a lot of artefacts/noise on grey or dark colours (hard to describe, but its like the like little mobile bands of colour that flicker subtly). I'm hoping a firmware upgrade would sort this, along with any banding.

Should I contact the usual support email address?

Cheers!

Well, I discovered another firmware bug in my HZ26Wi today

Hazro EDID said:
Vendor/Product Identification:

Monitor Name : DIGITAL
Monitor Serial Number :
Manufacturer Name : FRT
Product Id : 0
Serial Number : 0
Week Of Manufacture : 22
Year Of Manufacture : 2008
EDIDVersion : V1.3
Number Of Extension Flag : 0

Display parameters:

Video Input Definition : Digital Signal
DFP1X Compatible Interface : False
Max Horizontal Image Size : 520 mm
Max Vertical Image Size : 320 mm
Max Display Size : 24 Inches

As well as not having the serial number burned in, it's reporting the panel size incorrectly, so anyone intending to use this monitor for professional design work may well run into issues with this, as well as anyone who wants to take advantage of the DPI features of Vista and Win7.

I assume that Hazro use the same controller in both the 24 and 26 inch models and didn't bother to reprogram them?
