Hazro - Any Update?

Just received mine today (HZ26Wi), and I am absolutely stunned with it tbh. Maybe it's because I've come from an old 16" CRT at @ 1024*768, but if I didn't know better, I would've thought this was an OLED screen from the future. The black (which has been moaned about in this thread) is perfect (to me), and practically as dark as the black frame. There's no buzzing, snowing, sparkles, flicker, and the viewing angle is more than satisfactory.

The graphics card I use is the GeForce 9500GT (with ASUS P5QL Pro motherboard), and I'm currently using the DVI connector (rather than HDMI), and the DVI's rumoured to be better for some reason.

I haven't fully tested the input lag yet, but from first glance, that seems fine as well.

Thank you everyone here for the info on this amazing monitor!! Without you guys, I'd still be with my crappy 16" probably.

Ebay.co.uk for £360 (who of course must have originally purchased from overclockers).

Apparently the firmware is 1.3, but is there any way I can confirm this?

***********EDIT: THE FIRMWARE IS ACTUALLY 2.1 - ONE CAN SEE THIS IN THE OCD SECTION**********

Well the blue line problem is getting worse on my HZ26Wi, I used to see it flash up about one or twice a month and it wasn't very bright. Now I'm seeing a much brighter blue line, sometimes with white sparkles in it and it's there intermittently for a few seconds at a time. Normally only happens when I'm playing SecondLife though, which I don't do all that often.

Oddly it always appears in the same place, about where a Trinitron line would be.

Wonder if I should get a better DVI cable?

My Hazro died at the weekend, just fired off an email through their web form, whats thier support like and the lead time? Having a PC with no screen is kind of a problem.

I've RMA'd a monitor through NEC before and they sent a new one out and i put the old one in the box and sent it back, is this the case with hazro?

In the beginning..... Hazro support was superb. I had great support from them. Delivering the replacement and picking up the broken one either straight away or in a few days ( all though that time I think was a courier mix up )
Web mail to them telephoning the next day and picking up and replacing a day or two later.
All I can say is my experience, which was good. But if you read back a a lot of pages, it seems they are taking longer and longer, some waiting weeks just for a reply from the webmail. ( but you only read about the bad and very rarely the good )
On another note You may want to check your PSU as the early releases seemed to have a weak power supply which was common failure.

I'd second the PSU point.

Hazro seem like a huge liability. I have a £450 display with pretty much no support ?? I didn't pay that much to have to wait around that long.

Well to be honest, if I don’t hear from them within the next 72 hours, I’ll go to OcUK because legally it’s their problem not Hazro's and they are obliged to sort it out.

EDIT: The PSU seems fine, theres constant power to the screen and the little light is perminantly on. Theres no visible damage that you can see on the outside.

Well when my power brick went, the green light didn't go off, but it was the PSU they swapped :o

Mine kept trying to power on and then failing when drawing to much power. Someone else recently had the same symptoms.

The little light on the screen ?
If thats on you could try a factory reset.
With your left index finger on the down arrow use your right index finger to press the power off.
This will reset the monitor.
Dont forget to select the right input when you've done this.

Thanks ill try that quickly.

EDIT: I just plugged it in and it sprung into life, typical. No rest required.

I'm sure you know this, but just for everyone else as well, the buttons should work with a very light press above the center area of what the symbol would suggest. I was trying all sorts of things before I figured it out.

Just like clock work the thing has died again. The buttons no longer work and its stuck on. Its definatly going back.

lol, sorry... dont mean to laugh. But this is what I was just about to ask. Whether it was staying on or not as mine has just done the same....Gone off that is.
The back light comes on and you can turn it on and off. That's it F all else

Have you had a reply yet ?

Hmm sorry to hear about your problems :S

Mine's been running perfectly really but I'll stick with it until a new awesome screen comes out larger than 24" and is IPS then put my 24" on MM as I am gaming more and more from the armchair using the 360 controller and a bigger screen would be grand especially for street fighter 4.
