Hazro - Any Update?

I am the bringer of news!

Got a voicemail saying a firmware update for the issues mentioned is being rolled out next week and that it can be done by the customer. The estimated rollout is late next week and more info will be given next week before rollout.

BTW Mick I will upload screenshot of settings tonight, if anyone else has other questions then I'll be happy to answer too (sorry if I've missed any, long thread!)

I have also had a very long and positive conversation with Hazro today basically reinforcing what MRK has said in his post. They seem to be working as hard as they can to rectify this issue.

Thanks for the Parrot photo BTW, looks awesome:

which issues will this firmware solve?

The green snow + banding + anything else anyone has mentioned to them I'd assume. I hope OSD update is included :)

Parrot pic is posted a bit earlier in the thread btw :)

I don't think there are any issues with the backlight, certainly not on mine anyway! ColorEyes Display pro solves any greyscale details just fine for me :)

That is great news. A (end user) firmware upgradable monitor, now thats a step in the right direction. Meaning any small faults, niggles in the future can be ironed out very easily.

Thanks, those settings you use would be gratfully received :) All though Ive been using the software bundled with the device today (Spyder2Pro) has gotten rid of most of the banding issues except in the vertical gradients with dark colours and the colour spectrum from checkemon.
I can see why you calibrate now, everything is just so much more.......:)

I received an e-mail from Hazro today to confirm what has already been said about a firmware fix, which can be carried out by the customer. This is great news as it'll make the monitor even better!! ;) :D

Although I haven't made my final decision yet, I've been keeping an eye on this and the 2408WFP thread as I'm looking for a 24" screen for my new rig I hope to get soon. User upgradable firmware is great news though so it could be the thing that makes me choose the HZ24Wi. :D

As much as I've been researching them though I haven't found many reviews of the new or the old version of the Hazro one (the 24" one). Forgive me as I really can't be bothered to read the whole of this thread (:o), but if anyone could link me to any reviews they know of (ones on external websites and in this thread are good), I'd be most appreciative!

How will they implement this as i was sure i was seeing pretty bad colour banding on mine the other day whilst viewing the Max Payne trailer on apple trailers at full 1080p.

it was a dark underwater short between greens and blues that seems really bad.

edit: just watched it on my 17" samsung, its the same, must be the film. Can anyone else comment?
