Hermes (now rebranded to EVRi)! Why are they so good?!

There is no earthly way to contact Evri.. this is somewhat frustrating

I was offered a number not normally available to customers in a local Evri drop off point when I suspected they had lost one of my sales. Turned out they had not, but might be worth a chat with the local friendly shop that is also a drop off/collection point.

I can't believe how bad some peoples experience is with hermes/evri.

I've probably sent 30-50 parcels with no issues. And never had an issue with delivery.
To be fair this one parcel is my first bad experience.

Three failed pickups so took to drop off point, now stuck near depot local to recipient with the inability to drive around a road closure.

Usually they deliver fine for me.

Just checked tracking, its been stuck since 5 Dec.

Last three Evri deliveries, one ten days late, one not at all and one on time.

DPD held on to a food delivery that was next day cold packed for five days so that was all ruined.

RM has been on time when not striking.

I have 2 email addresses for the people who run my local delivery depot - the kind of local-local depot the self employed couriers rock up to load their cars with parcels. Although they were passed to me as part of their recruitment drive so doubt they will do anything.

Evri just tried to deliver an empty bag to my wife, obviously empty, ripped open and no item so she refused to accept it.

She gets onto the seller, oh, tracking shows you refused delivery, we can't guarantee you'll get it before christmas. Yes but the bag was empty, well you should have accepted it and sent us pictures, we'll investigate and get back to you within a week.

They’ve rebranded because they’re dire.

Thankfully Amazon let’s you say you don’t want to use them and most sites will allow you to select a different one even if it’s at an extra cost it’s worth it.

Seems they have a 21 day limit for claims, I might have been too patient.

I wont be using parcel2go again, no contact number, live chat broken, so no choice but to issue chargeback request, refilling in the missing parcel form now says order isnt on system even though tracking page is still there. I will be out of pocket still as I lost the value of the parcel.

The parcels with no issues in past were done direct with hermes.

Misses posted her sisters Xmas presents with Evri and they've apparently been "damaged beyond repair". Now have to make a lengthy claim for multiple items. Brilliant.

Won't be using again.

Never had a problem with them delivering to my house.

But then I ordered something from American Golf last week for store delivery. I assumed the warehouse would just put it on their lorry when they re-stock and then i could pick it up and have a little browse too. But no, they sent it to their own store by Evri, who then failed to attempt delivery due to the 'weather' even though there was only a little bit of rain!

Its surprisingly common for companies to just ship to store, its usually because their logistics can't handle one of orders being added to their re-stocking plan and instead of actually fixing it they just ship using the cheapest option

I've got about 5 parcels backed up with Evri at the moment which they're not delivering. I know the reason, the person that runs this round can't get drivers because he only pays the bare minimum per drop but the adjacent rounds pay significantly more - so there's no drivers.

I know exactly what will happen next, I'll raise it with the stores I'm waiting for delivery from. They'll refund me and/or resend the item. Then they'll turn up eventually, so the only person that loses out is the store because they've effectively give me something for free because of Evri.

I'm just not using the lockers anymore. Unfortunately parcel shop is too far away to be viable so I'll keep using RM until its not free. For really big stuff I'll probably still use evri collection.

But the lockers here? Never using them again.

Know any thing more about this? Certain managers will set different rates? Are there different rates even within the same depot?
