New bug.... Resource collectors ignoring the controller and keep heading back to the Mothership...

They also don't go and find new resources on their own any more. They will just sit there when the current one runs out :/

This happened to me on my mission. Was constantly wondering why my RU's were so low. Just to check and find harvesters sat next to the refinery doing nothing...!

Having never really played the series before (or much rts for that matter) I'm finding one of the missions a little tough.
Any tips for mission 5 when they have a fleet hiding in the asteroid field?

Play through the previous mission but before you hyperspace, collect all available resources on the map and get yourself plenty of ion beam frigates, assault frigates, defenders and two or three support frigates. When the mission starts, get your ion cannon frigates to take out the asteroids far away, set your support frigates to heal your mothership and all other ships to take out asteroids nearby. I found it easier to orientate the camera just behind and above the mothership so I could spot the asteroids heading for the mothership as opposed to all asteroids that you can target.

Does HW2 still auto jump when you complete a mission? I used to detest not being able to build my fleet back up and ordering everything just right before jumping, it actually stopped me playing more than a few missions of the game.

At a similar place and this mission seems pretty important for the following one.

I had good success in using the salvage corvettes to steal the destroyers they will throw at you (use 4 each). Use your fleet to distract the destroyer's fire while the corvettes sneak in. You will need to cover them from the fighters as well on their return trip.

You can use a similar tactic to 'borrow' their resource extractor when the objective comes up and add it to your resource squad or just recycle it.

RE: chris [beans] Meh, why?

Have you used the launch menu yet? In HW1, you had a long box for strike craft and another for corvettes. All you had to do was select either one of the two boxes and hit launch and all the selective craft would exit.
With HW1 remastered, with the a load of strike craft and corvettes docked, you have to select each craft "individually" to launch it, and to make matters harder, they will generally be all mixed up in the list so you have to go through the entire column of craft selecting which ones you want, and the pictures of these craft are quite hard to distinguish. This means in the heat of a furball where speed of action is needed, you're gonna be bogged down carrying out all these actions while the battle rages on.

Yeah, ignore me, I misunderstood what you meant entirely!!

As for all my gripes, I've come up with a solution to them all!!
I'm replaying the classic version of HW1 and I'll simply wait for the remastered patch :D
