Honestly a new board will 100% be waste. Unless you are LN2 and going for world records of course then there might be a little bit there but honestly nothing worth going from a Z690 to Z790.

In terms of cpu ocing, YES. In terms of memory ocing, 2 dimm boards will all be the same. 4 dimm boards, dunno. If you are triying to hit 7k+ on memory, i guess z790 would be the better bet, but i personally wouldnt risk a 4dimmer and go for a 2 dimm, either z690 or z790

Always said I'd never go back to LN2 but you never know, I always get the itch!!
I'll defo be getting a 2 dimm board but at present not sure if any of the decent ones will be available at launch and prices are off putting to say the least on the mid range tier as is. Suppose I just need to wait a little while longer to get some more info.
