January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

what are you talking about?

lampard, essien, ramires, malouda, zhirkov, kalou, benayoun, mikel.

theres 8 players who all can play midfield, granted mikel is terrible and ramires is still adjusting, lets call it 6 players most of them top level.

Malouda/Zhirkov --- Lampard --- Essien --- Kalou/Benayoun

there you go theres how i would play their midfield. With the option to change zhirkov for malouda and benayoun for kalou.

granted their team is more about pace and strength and not as technical as other midfields, they could really do with an alonso/fabregas/xavi type player. but i reckon they would do very well with that midfield and torres and drogba up front with the option to bring on anelka if one of them is having a poor game.

Kalou is a striker? okay he's not a good striker, but why are you putting him right midfield?

Utterly shocked and at the same time disgusted with how much Newcastle got for Carroll:eek:...£35mill for a player whos good but nowhere worth £35mill...lol at liverpool for getting played good and proper by Cashley Ashley:p:D....but then the last laugh may very well be on Newcastle as Carroll could end up being very good at Liverpool....but still £35mill??

Torres i cannot believe he went for £50mill...just shows how stupid the Russkie at Chelski really is...dont get me wrong hes a great player Torres but he hasnt done much of note, was a flop at last summers WC and even this year he looked to still be struggling somewhat.

But seriously just LOL at the state of english football these days.

Kalou can definitely play right wing but I'm not sure he's good enough to be starting. It's definitely gonna be difficult getting the midfield balance right...

It may seem the same but playing out wide as part of a 4-3-3 is very different to playing wide in a 4-4-2, and Kalou's **** anyway.

More of a "right hand side of the front three" kind of striker I thought, so you're both right, sort of. :p

He's got a poor scoring record for Chelsea.

He's right footed so he could cut in from the left as well, but aye, front three type of striker sounds about right.

How does Suarez survive this challenge? You can see how much pain he's in I suppose, still, brave lad.

Classic Suarez though, not only is it one of the very worst 'tackles' I've ever seen, he's found a way to fit a dive in there somewhere (somewhat unbelievably). Classic Suarez!

Confused by this post.. is there something missing, like an 't at the end of can? Suarez jumps in two footed there and should've been sent off, lest that's what you mean by survive.

I was joking, it's an atrocious act, just something he better drop quickly or else the entire country are really going to despise him. He used to get booked for diving nearly every week

I'm sure he will drop such things, the english league has a habit of weeding out many unfavourable practices, just look at Klinsmann and diving for example. Having said that, many "tackles" in the 60s were a great deal worse and yet we look back now on some of the players who did (and indeed were known for them) quite fondly and occassionally even as great players.

At the end of the day, its a horrible tackle, amazed the way the other guy just shrugs it off but if I was being totally honest on here, if he did a tackle like that, then scored 15 goals and 15 assists over the course of the season and won us trophies I think I would quickly forgive him for the tackle :)

disgraceful tackle but where exactly is the dive
he goes in 2 footed, realises he's in trouble and tried to roll over/get up as quick as he can waving at the ref not to be too harsh on him
