January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Arsenal will hold out for £50m at least, which he's easily worth in a £35m-for-Carroll market, in fact he's worth going on £100m in this market (I'm not even joking, he's easily 3 times as valuable as Carroll). Fairly sure they offered £35m last summer and Arsenal swiftly told them no way.

AS I was getting at this is a perfect example. 25mil opening offers for Carroll from Spurs, at that stage Carroll was having a good year, and had recently signed a 5 year contract, in his home town, with a pretty decent intention of staying till he retired if he could.

Fabregas asked to leave last year, has won the world/euro cups, is proven world class and isn't winning anything. Wenger makes promises about the clubs intentions, who they'll bring in to persuade him to stay.

The next season, Fabregas still wants to go, Wenger didn't invest wisely, the team still wins nothing, the improvements turn out to be a cheap striker and two cheap defenders, who are all now expensive benchwarmers expect when other injuries happen.

Its just 100% not the same situation.

How much would Carroll go for to Pool if, he grew up in Liverpool and was there as a kid, his family and friends live in Pool, he was established as a cup winner with England(I know far fetched that England could win anything), and he'd wanted to leave for 2-3 years and was only persuaded against leaving the season before with loads of promises made

Why would iniesta get ruined in the epl? I presume it would be due too the tackels he would suffer. I would also think that inesta in the epl would increase the number of hip replacements due to defenders:)

Yep, he picks up enough injuries in Spain (practically missed last season entirely), but over here, with the early reducers and 'getting stuck in' attitude we have, he would hardly play a game

Following all the comments when Chelsea first bid for Torres; I'd be surprised if Arsenal turn down £20m for Fabregas in the summer. If he wants to leave the club should let him go.

Hilarious that Chelski...sorry the Russkie wants Fabregas now...as if thats going to happen as everyone who has half a brain cell knows that Fab, if he leaves will only go to Barca but if he does go to Chelski then id be extremely disappointed.

Hell Wenger should slap a £60mill+ price tag on him to see off Chelsea's bid...if Arsenal do sell him then nothing less than £50mill will suffice, that goes for Barca too....which i think is fair value for a guy who literally carries Arsenal at times.

£20mil for the guy who passed the ball for the WC winning goal?
Then again with the way barca as a club is setup, who knows if theres another xavi in the making, in the b teams.

He didn't only make that pass, he's also the first name on Spain's teamsheet when it comes to the big games, like the confederations cup.

Reina's not ruled out a move to United then.

He wasn't asked to. The reporter stated that Arsenal and Utd are looking for a keeper and Reina said he knew that.

I know Utd are looking for a keeper, does that mean I'm not ruling a move out too? :p

It would be hilarious apart from him playing in both major finals that they won recently. Starting one when he was about 20.

La Liga is far worse than our league for bad tackles. Just look at the amount of injuries they suffer and the amount of yellow and red cards they pick up compared to our teams.

The way the Arsenal supporters talk about our league people could be forgiven for thinking it has more in common with UFC than football :o

It's dodgy journalism alright but if he wants to play in the CL then there's only one option for him ;)

I watch it every week, there aren't as many bad tackles, or tackles in general. The game is played at a slower pace meaning less tackles go wrong and the attacking players are also given more room. In England there's always someone clipping your heels every time you get the ball, in Spain you have yards of space, especially the Barca players

Also, you don't need me to tell you how much easier it is to pick up a yellow card over in Spain than over here, their games are often very stop start due to the very picky ref's, they hardly let anything go!

Also, Barcelona hardly ever have players out injured, they play their first XI almost every week! I honestly can't remember Arsenal doing this once in the last 3 or 4 years

With a combination of higher paced games and more aggression/less protection (the Barca players are wrapped in cotton wool by refs over there) it's definitely more taxing to play here, Torres came out and said it recently, it's hard to last over here

We're not interested in you though :p

You think £60m would stop Chelsea bidding for Fabregas? They'd pay that in a flash ..

Well of course not, it wouldnt stop those greedy ****ers at City either:p...but im hoping that Fab and Wenger tell Chelsea to go **** a stick when it comes to trying to sign Fab:p:D
