Hope the Rooney saga is the kick the owners need to let fergie spend.

Ozils thoughts...
like any eastern european player he will blow hot and cold in different times and seemingly for no apparent reason.
its like this in football, in NHL etc...
Sweeping generalizations ahoy
I wouldn't sell Arshavin, though he's about to sign a contract extension apparently, unless I dreamt that or it happened in Football Manager, so if he were to go it would be for top price at least. I don't think he has any intentions of leaving and despite his lethargic way on the pitch he still manages to contribute. He was never going to be a box to box type player who works their arse off for 90 minutes plus stoppages, he does his job though mostly.
As for signings I don't think we need anybody desperately. We could still do with a proper keeper despite Fabianski's good run of form and the boy Szczesny being offered a contract extension. Maybe a left back is needed as cover though.
I think that we could do with another player or two but as you say we dont need one. imo we need a new 'Bellamy' who i think could be Podoloski for LW/LM and i would like Cassano from Sampdoria if he leaves. Well Dzeko today said he isnt leaving but who knows. I wouldnt. I agree and hopefully this transfer we can sell RSC and someone like Bridge also.Which bit don't you agree with? That we shouldn't buy anyone? Or we need to play more as a team with who we've got?
I just don't see where we need someone new. At a push I never see Bridge do anything of note (unless that note is ******* something up) and I don't see why Barry starts so many games, but then I guess Yaya Toure hasn't exactly set the world alight either (apart from having a quite impressive ability to just choose a forward direction and run with the ball through multiple opponents).
That team you've named above if functioning as a happy cohesive unit should be able to beat anyone on their day. But the more we chop and change the more the essence of the 'team' will elude us. I'm not about to put up a "Go Home" sign outside CoMS to Dzeko and we do rely too much on Tevez at the moment, but if Balotelli hadn't knackered himself so quickly we might already be seeing him really stepping up to the plate. Tell you who I really would like at City, Hernandez. He shows exactly the right attitude of fighting his *** off for a first team place, and hopefully he carries that throughout his career. If Adebayor had half that drive he might not get so much stick.
We don't need any more expensive bench warmers. We need to get our heads down and let our results do the talking. IMO anyway.
Chamakh isnt half the player that RvP is though.
