LG OLED 2022 Thread - A2, B2, C2, G2

Ah mines only a 55" curved model.

But had a really slight bit of burn in from TV logo from previous owner, you can't see it in use other than on a solid red screen, but I'd not be happy to sell it based on that.
 
Yeah I’m looking forward to it. The other half can barely still tell the difference between sd and 1080p so simply couldn’t understand why I was telling her we’re get a new tv. As sudhcI didn’t bother to explain the differences in tech over the last decade. No doubt she’ll tell me it’s a waste of money even after we watch our first decent 4K content :D
 
Mine turned up today and it looks fantastic. I think I need to do some research on calibrating as there seems to be a few oddities.

One quick question. I seem to be having an odd issue where if I do not have any devices powered on or in standby such as the PS5 and I am using Plex, Netflix ect and I exit the app it powers on the PS5 which is in HDMI1. Is there a setting to stop this?

Presumably because it's dropping into the last used input when you exit an app?

A fairly crappy workaround would be to always select live TV as your "start point". Or perhaps another HDMI input if you've got any without the linked control thing.
 
Yeah thats what my thoughts were. Its an odd choice and thought going back to the home screen when an app is closed would be a better solution. Might just turn off the HDMI CEC from the PS5 and see how that goes.
 
I am just trying to adjust some of the settings as per the rtings website(that link is for the c2 but you can search for the C1) and weirdly I am unable to find the eco setting to disable. It’s not under the section it shows on the website.
 
Yes, i am on the latest firmware. I thought i did check that menu but you have me thinking now. I will check when i get home. Need to get it all done nicely for Thor Love and Thunder :D

Do you need more? I'd have thought you could stream anything with that, and if not if it does 5g WiFi that's be quicker surely?
 
Picked up a C2 a couple of days ago which I'm using as a monitor and been playing Monkey Island and also some PS5 and it's been perfect. Thought I'd have a go of Battlefield V on the PC but when playing it starts flicking through the picture modes, Vivid, Standard and Game Optimiser whilst giving me a black screen.

Any way to force picture mode on this thing so it doesn't keep switching on me?

I'm running at 4k 120hz on the PC and Battlefield is running at 1440p 120hz.
