LG OLED 2022 Thread - A2, B2, C2, G2

Considering moving to a 65C2 from my
65C8 to take advantage of VRR and the likes, mainly console gamer (ps5/sx) and 4K movies, with sports as a main TV watch.

I’m not expecting mind blowing differences given the C8 is pretty good to my eyes already but has anyone else made a similar move who can offer some feedback please?

Looking at getting a C2 soon, and also thinking of quitting Sky and just going Freesat. Freesat guide says you just plug your 2 sky dish cables in for Freesat, but the TV looks like it has only one input for satellite. Do I need some sort of splitter, or is the TV only capable of receiving one feed, and therefore also can only record one channel at a time?

I've heard about changing the LNB. A bit annoying as Freesat's own video specifically says you can switch straight from sky q with no problems

That aside though, how does the 2 cables into one port work?

The Internet has ruined me  . Google 2 male into 1 female  .

I'm wondering about the twin cables... As I'm in the same boat.
I figured you just use one cable but could just leave the other in situ ?
After a bit more research it seems that's right, you just ignore on cable. Means you certainly can't record one thing while watching another however.

Sky is expensive but it is very good for that. Unless there are any cheaper alternatives I'm missing?

Dunno, but ive got plenty of rubbish apps to watch and prime and netflix on the LGTV.. for me, I'm not bothered about recording..I just figured I may aswell replace the LNB and hook the freesat function up too, for more rubbish to watch, haha
My dish is quite High up though, might have to see if I can persuade the window cleaner to fit the LNB...looking at amazon there are plenty LNBs around the £10 mark that seem to fit the bill, it's just getting up there to swap them out is my problem.

I've got similar, the sky guy who fitted the dish had a fair old time getting up there without cracking any roof tiles, might have to get my mate the tree surgeon round with his cherry picker. Let me know if you find a good LNB that works or I'll do similar if I beat you to it.

Picked up a second hand C2 42 to use as a monitor. It is brand new, but opened box, and doesn't have the feet/legs. Anyone know where I could get some? Can't find them anywhere! :(

I quit sky that was costing me 80 quid a month when I bought my C2 42. I then bought a decent TV aerial, splitter with built in booster, cables and connectors all for under 80 quid from the rain forest.

Spent a few hours at the weekend installing and now we have Freeview in bedroom, kitchen and sitting room.

Not missed sky at all and all for under the cost of one month of sky TV. No brainer really

It unfortunately can’t go on the wall as it is going on a sit/stand desk, so height is variable.

I’ve looked on eBay and can’t see any, and LG don’t seem to stock them either
Amazon stock VESA compatible legs for most TV's

I bought a set to replace a missing stand to give my old H6400 Samsung to my brother in law.

Something like this:

Do you record off that? Dedicated HDD for each TV if so?

I can put a usb stick in my TVs and record to that if needed. Tbh I haven't bothered to record anything since though. I've simply not thought about it since the change

Is it possible to disable the C2's auto detection and switching? I've accepted my PS5 input will be a Vizio sound bar no matter how many times I rename it. But putting my PS5 in to rest mode changes the sound output to ARC instead of the optical that I want.

It's only minor things to change though annoying to do it daily but I can't see anywhere to disable it. Does anyone know if it is an option? or even an option when using the service remote?
