Luther.

Just finished watching series one of this(yeah, I don't watch much TV!) and I thought it was very good. I felt that it might have benefited a great deal from fleshing out Ian Reed's character a little though, and maybe making him a bit more imposing. Looking forward to getting started on series 2 now.
 
I was just talking about this with a friend the other day.

I have to say that a remake is a bad idea. The grittiness of the original was a direct result of the setting and the characters and made it unique, especially in the UK. In the us there are several shows that do the same already and not having that edge will just make it yet another crime drama.

That's very similar to that Elementary show that comes on.
Whereas Sherlock had a certain charm and 'grittiness' Elementary was far to glossy
 
I quite like elementary. Not keen on Lucy Lui in it but i do like Miller.

My initial reaction at the US remake is tempered with knowing we're getting a UK 2 parter next year. They can have their abomination now we're getting some proper Luther.
 
Excellent! Love this series.

Shame no Alice this time, she was an brilliant character and very pleasing on the eye. That said, Rose Leslie is in this one and she too is nice to watch. It would seem I have a thing for redheads :)
