New Man Utd Manager Search

As long as they get the support above him right, this could be just what's needed.

I think there will be major squad changes in the summer. There has to be.

Most fans won't care if it's a bit hit and miss, as long as there's some progress and a plan. You can't fix the issues overnight.

I don't know about the average fan but I know that a lot of people on the caf wouldn't mind if the whole team was gutted. Very few players in the current squad have any fans in there. If there was ever a time to rebuild and fix some of our core issues, now is the time.

I just can't bring myself to believe that United wont **** this up somehow. Between the players and the high ups poor Ten Hag will be in a **** sandwich.

I don't really like any of our players either. The bonus is that a few will be leaving in the summer, like Pogba. As you say, this is an ideal time in many ways.

From my perspective Woodward has been the main issue, he's now gone. We just have to hope Richard Arnold will listen to people who know what they're actually talking about.

Yea, you say that but if you get 24 months in and its not going the way you thought it would, are the fans going to turn on the manager again. At some point, the fans are going to have to grind their teeth and get through it

24 months is a while though, it will very much depend on performances and feel around the club.

I don't believe trophies are really that important at the moment, at least to me.

As long as we see 'positive progress' on the pitch I will be happy - no chance of trophies for a while yet.
Too many players with a 'cant be arsed' attitude, I just hope the new manager has balls of steel and has a good clear-out.

Ten Hag officially confirmed in 'the most obvious PR move of the week'

Also confirmed that two long standing staff are leaving in the summer. Chief Scout Jim Lawlor and Head of Global Scouting Marcel Bout. Unclear whether they're just leaving or were pushed.

I watched the Neville post match analysis after the Liverpool match on Youtube last night.

It seems everyone is at a loss as to what can be done to get things back on track and have no faith that enough will change for ETH to actually make a success of anything.

Brilliant news. I hope he’s backed to the hilt and a big clear out starts in the summer.

By far the most exciting appointment we could have made, let’s just hope Murtough does a better job than Woodward.

ETH confirmed.

God help him.

Will they back him like they've said and how long will he rebuild take.

They will back him financially but thats not the issue at United. The issue is that there is far too little joined up thinking and the players have far too much power. The main thing that gives me a shred of hope is that a lot of players who I think are at the core of the toxic dressing room culture are leaving and we are also getting a modern manager without glaring holes in his managerial abilities.

If he can get the remaining players on board and add some quality players in during the summer then I feel we will have a good season next year. Should be fairly nailed on for top 4.

At this point I would just be happy if I can watch us outplay more than 20% of the teams in the league over a season.

It will be interesting to see for sure, how times have changed since SAF retired.

How the rebuild will work trying to break the city/pool stronghold over the domestic and European cups, alongside the likes of Newcastle's investment and supposed spurs/arsenal rebuilds.

Curious how VDB fits into everything, hope the lads comes back under ETH.
