Guess that requires a good bit of space around you to play?

Surprisingly not - thus far it's needed space to jog on the spot, do squats, some on the spot twists, and some overhead presses. There are some abdominal crunches that have you half laying on the floor but I've not yet done those. I reckon if you've got a about half a meter to a meter in front and behind, that should be plenty.

The really fun part is seeing the stats compared to the family and trying to beat them :)

Well space shouldn't be an issue if the game can be played handheld. Just means I could take it somewhere where I do have more room to move, or would being on such a small screen not doo too well or even work?

I'll have to give a try in handheld mode - I'm sure you could probably prop the screen up with the kickstand, take a few steps back and crack on with the Ring and the leg strap for the Joycons. I don't think you'll miss a great deal playing on the smaller screen, the core gameplay is pretty basic without massive amounts of details so you should be okay.

I'll try it tomorrow after work to see what the experience is like, and will report back :)

Anyone received access to the new Mario Kart content yet?

I was half expecting the UK to unlock by now and my lad is constantly refreshing it :D
(He’s off school with covid so it’s gonna drive me loopy)

Be in a few hours before it unlocks due to timezones in other regions.

I got an update for Mario Kart last night and was able to download the expansion pass content at the same time :) I did have to download the extra content from the Switch Online app thing.

Anyone able to help me out with sending a joy con off for repair? Got one that won't connect, seems like it's probably a loose connection inside either stopping it charging or stopping it registering on the console to get power, either way it's dead end not recoverable. Just going through the book a repair system, are they expecting me to send the actual Switch as well? I'd rather just send the controller as I've got others that work perfectly suggesting it's only the joy con not the console itself and would rather not risk it in the post. Cheers!

Edit: Ah nevermind missed the checkbox to say I only want to send an accessory. Will leave this here in case anyone else misses it like I did.

This was the answer, for some reason I expected the Switch to know that I was playing on an account with the Expansion Pass and just unlock the content for me.

The reality turned out to be that I had to go the eShop and find the Booster Pass to buy (for free) before it would open the content it had forced into the game already and was showing me when we logged in to Mario Kart.

What an awful way of doing it really! But I left the lad happy with the eight courses for now. :-)

So, do i need to buy the add on if i only want to play the new tracks online? i have had a fair few online races today and havent seen a new track once :(

The Switch has folders! The Switch has folders!

I had a look last night but couldn't understand if this is possible. It only shows when you go All Apps and specifically select groups. Unless I missed an option for it? It would be nice to have the folders on my home screen.

Yeah, you can't have that. Its technically impossible. Much like themes. Took 5 years to figure out how to group games into folders on a rudimentary level so anything more complex is pie in the sky.

Haha :D

I'd heard folders were coming and just assumed it'd be a home screen thing.
