*** Nintendo Switch ***

I’m having terrible trouble deciding which way i prefer to play my switch, like a handheld, game pad or nunchuck style.
Personally I prefer handheld but mostly due to the way I end up playing the most, which is on the sofa while my wife watches something on TV. If I'm in my office I've got my dock connected to my ultrawide monitor which does stretch things a little but it's nice to sit back and use the pro controller over the joycons.

If it had been a pure handheld device I would definitely still have bought one, pure docked I'm not so sure.

Edit: typo.

I’m a bit disappointed by the downloadable game prices too. I can’t understand why they are so much more expensive than the carts. For example Nintendo want £36 for the CB trilogy, Amazon want a score for a brand new boxed cart.

The original argument was to safeguard against undercutting retail but when digital versions are not even remotely competitive with zero resale value; it is somewhat annoying to not get some cost benefit with digital.

There is some benefits to digital games. I buy digital so I can play with my daughter. Since you can play the game on up to two different accounts, and we have two switches, we basically get two games but only pay once. It does have some limitations still, but it works.

Also I can't be bothered to switch physical games.

I agree swapping out cartridges is a little annoying but I'll swallow that inconvenience when the games are a third/half the price (: plus I get the option to sell them on afterwards.

Nintendo announce: there will be new console hardware launched this financial year which ends in April 2024.

The CEO did acknowledge that sales are slowing and it's become more of a challenge to sell switch consoles but they are still intending to just sell the Switch and not launch new machines

I've got a switch which I've had since they released. It's looking abit shabby but still runs fine, is there any point in upgrading to an OLED?

I upgraded from a original switch to the OLED:

- much more rigid build than my worn out original
- screen is massively better (bigger/brighter/richer)
- quieter and battery life much better
- much stronger kickstand

I doubt we'll see anything before "Holidays 2024" then in time for Christmas

I did and was worth it purely for the oled screen in my opinion. And the cost isn't so much if you sell on your old one too.
