*** Nintendo Switch ***

No idea how well it plays on the Switch, but £21 for Khaos Reigns Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 was a recent price drop today.

I suspect what are are seeing is 3D printed switch 2's for accessory manufactures to get the the correct dimensions.
You don't need to suspect, the video literally starts by explaining it's a 3D Print by the case manufacturer, that they claim is based on the Switch 2 design drawings :p

That why I shouldn't watch the video and comment 24 hours later on it on

Supposedly images from an accessory manufacturer. Looks consistent with everything trickling out so far with the kick stand, magnets and joy con release buttons.

I always thought that they would wait till after the Christmas period to announce it but with the leaks coming thick and fast maybe it is sooner rather than later.

A teaser might be on but I would be surprised if they did a full announcement just before Christmas.

They were clearly hoping to have one last decent Christmas with the original, given they've been dropping adverts like these recently...

I mean, sometimes Nintendo gonna Nintendo but it would be unusually harsh to plug a load of ads and new games for Switch 1's last Christmas, drag in the last few sales and then announce the new one 2 weeks before the big day just to really put a downer on the kids unwrapping their now confirmed obsolete present :p

Yeah no way they announce a new console that only comes out next year, as soon as you announce it Switch 1 sales go into the toilet and you can't do that just before Christmas

The reason there are o many leaks for the Switch 2 is because it's been done for so long - the Switch 2 is finished and is just sitting in a cupboard waiting for Nintendo exec to give the go ahead, they could have released the new console a year ago, development has been done for that long already and they longer they try to hide this already completed machine the more leaks will come out

I can’t see an announcement before March now for a summer release.

That’s the next realistic window. The thing will have gone into mass production before it’s announced to build stock for release day.

We would have had full hardware leaks (pictures etc) from the supply chain already if it was due in the first quarter of the year.

They'll never do it just before Christmas. The Switch is still a big seller. I think Feb/March.
Sales have declined a lot this year - as revealed in their Q3 financial report. Announcing something now could cannibalise some hardware sales, but they make most of their profit selling games. If they were to officially announce 100% backward compatibility then people wouldn't be discouraged from buying games / cartridges at Xmas and over the next few months.
