*** Nintendo Switch ***

^^ lmfao.

Mario in a strip club, superb.

Yeah, that was awesome.

I didn't say either way. I said "oh maybe they're doing it because of the battery" that was just a speculation. I've seen nothing officially stated with regards to the battery. Nobody has fed me that line. It was just a thought that came to mind, I posted it :p

I know what you mean, happened to me also. Some people just see what they want to see. Like that brexit fella, putting words in my mouth rather than reading, understanding and responding to what I actually said. Lol.

Don't take no notice, keep posting away :)

I honestly don't think Nintendo have a clue when it comes to online gaming, they've had years to study what the others are doing and at the very least come up with a similar model. They keep saying they have listened to what people want but I just don't see it, the phone idea is fine if it's in addition to the standard service, but using a mobile phone in my living room to voice chat is just ridiculous, it should be in addition to a headset. I want the switch to work but some of their decisions are just pure madness.

Yea. They don't seem to listen much. I guess they might consider it if the Switch also fails. If it fails, it won't be because the concept was poor, it would be the execution IMO. But let's hope it does not come to that.

Wonder if it's a case of a rushed release? Perhaps they're planning on including it on the console later? You'd like to think so.

It's not out of the realms of possibility :)

The important thing is that if the app is crap, as many people feedback to nintendo as possible. We have a few months before they start asking for our cash.

I've never understood Nintendos approach to online gaming. I know they've always been more of a local mutliplayer type of company which is great. But in todays age I think it's not possible to ignore the need and want for online multiplayer at times.

I have friends in the UK getting the switched and we have all already talked about the excitement of playing MK8 online together, for example.

Will have to see how this one plays out.

I don't think it will fail (although I'm torn on whether I want it to or not). It will either be a screaming success or scrape by with the usual game droughts, punctuated with the odd great first party title, we had with the Wii and WiiU. I agree though - just a few changes here and there would have made the Switch a more exciting prospect.

And some games pls Nintendo - so far there's only really Zelda. A game that started life as a WiiU title that's been delayed and moved over to the Switch because the Switch has no games!

By my count there are approx 38-39 games in the pipeline for the Switch so far. Ones we know about. There will be more being developed that we're unaware of of course.

Initial launch isn't great but more coming very shortly afterwards.

We'll see. The Wii had an absolute **** tonne of games - nearly all dross. The WiiU had a fair few too. If Nintendo had some killer exclusives on the way soon, we'd know them by now. There may be on the odd gem - but repeated, painful experience has taught me to be wary these days. I was very close to pre-ordering a Switch when they were first available simply out of habit. Nintendo console, buy. This time they're going to have to show things will be different and earn it.

Going from the games confirmed so far? How many of them do you look at and think, yep I want that.

For me its a pretty decent amount. :)

I want Zelda. Even the not amazing ones are very good. Mario probably. As mentioned earlier - if it's more akin to Mario 64, with fully controllable camera and areas to explore, i'll buy a Switch just for that. If it's another 3D World, i'm not bothered. Mario Kart - no interest. Looks just like the version I already bought (super lazy!) and, perhaps, Bomberman, if my friends buy it and a Switch (not that likely). Other than that - maybe Dragon Quest, Disgaea and Fire Emblem. So not much really.

The super killer clincher would be a Monster Hunter that supports simultaneous local and online multiplayer. Take my money. But we can only dream :p

Zelda, Mario Kart 8 and Mario Odyssey so far.

Bomberman if it's cheap, Arms is just Wii boxing with robots.

Pretty much the same here. I feel like if I get Mario Kart 8, at least the Switch will be used regularly for a quick game or two, rather than sitting there waiting for the next big single player game.

But there are quite a few titles I may be interested in, but will need to see a review before I part with £50! :p

I've traded in my Wii U and Wii stuff so the Switch, Zelda, charging grip and most of MK8 isn't costing me anything, I'm guessing Nintendo will port most of the good Wii U games anyway.

The Switch actually looks like the first Nintendo hardware since the N64 that doesn't look like it was designed by Fisher Price.

Nintendo just need to stop making so many boneheaded decisions.

But there is no way I'm missing out on a new Zelda or a proper sandbox Mario game.
