You know there's a lot more to visuals and required performance than simply resolution and frame rate? You can't just compare the frame rate and resolution of different games on different consoles as if it means anything.
That is true but then again, from what we've seem so far from Nintendo, I'm happy with the textures and draw distance in Zelda., Mario KArt, Splatoon 2 and ARMS
Without more titles to compare, it's hard to take either side. The BIG test of the switches capabilities will be Skyrim. As we can take that and stick it side by side with the competitors.
At this time, both sides of the argument know the same, which is next to nothing.
I'm a Nintendo fan, but I don't want my posts to come across as blind fanboyism (infact I skipped the Wii-U), its not that I'm actively defending Nintendo 'Just because'. All I (and other here) are trying to point out is that without actual proof, we shouldn't be quick to hate on something we've not touched. The throw the phrase 'laughably underpowered' when all we've seen are Zelda 900p 30fps and Mario Kart 1080p 60fps comes across to me as misinformed.
I'm sticking with my pre-order as I miss playing MK and I want zelda, so it makes sense to spend a little more on something new, rather than buy into a dead console. I hope there will be a good selection of fun indy and first party games to enjoy. For the sake of nintendo I hope we can see the switch cope with AAA (even if it needs another dock) however I won't lose sleep over it as AAA games I use my pc for. But again ,I'll understand fan resentment to Nintendo for feeling let down.
