Well not really as a console goes it was a failure, it didn't sell... yes it had a couple of decent games but overall it was a failure. I've owned every Nintendo console going (apart from Virtual boy) and maybe it's my fond memories of the Snes/N64 and a hope that they may return to that form that leads to disappointment.

I don't know what they should have come up with, something revolutionary and not an evolution of the Wii U to start with.

I hope as more info comes available it will change my mind. At least the reveal seemed more mature than usual. I want to see their networking/party features and them hopefully drop the Mii things. They need to get that right for this to work not just the console.
 
Looks promising, speaking as someone who has never owned Nintendo hardware.

My only concerns are battery life and usability of those tiny controllers when they are separated from the unit, though that will probably be a rare occurrence.

Have to say that ad was cringy as hell though, trying to paint gamers as 20-something models who just love hanging out with all their pals and playing games together (come on, the girl playing Mario then bring it out to play with all of her girlfriends? Just lol).

We all know modern gamers are obese, misogynistic, homophobic, cheeto-eating, man-cave-dwelling neckbeards.

I took Wikipedias figure of >10 million as 10 million... Had they wrote <20 million i probably would have said 20 million. So don't blame me blame them for their figures. :cool::p

For the record i own a PS2/3/4 and an Xbox One. I was just pointing out that sales wise it wasn't *that* bad.

it will have the new Zelda and if that is anything like The Ocarina Of Time then i will be buying it.
 
I honestly wish nintendo would stop with the bull**** and just release a console with some grunt and bring us their first party games in spectacular fashion. This to me is a gimmick just as the Wii U was, I'm willing to bet it won't sell in the numbers they hope.

Why don't you share the specs with everyone else?

Or are we just throwing random guesses out there?

Nintendo doesn't need anyone to save them.

I think it's fair to say the SNES/N64 days will not come around again sadly. I also hate the Mii things and hope for a proper online system ala Live/PSN. Time will tell.
