*** Nintendo Switch ***

Yeah that law states you can get a refund if it doesn't work, with a closed system like the switch there always going to work.

It's probably why steam just gives refunds, so much less hassle then to worry about it.

Anyway that link you provided to Nintendo is for their US sales.

This is from the Nintendo EU site

Anyone heard of a Switch not being supplied with the plug? My mate insists his Switch came without a plug and having bought a replacement it doesn't charge so it's gone back for a replacement.

I think I smell BS, either that or he's bought a Chinese knock-off.

Your mate is telling porkies.

The frame drops on zelda don't bother me but I can see it would be annoying for some.

The thing that confuses me most is it appears to be random, it doesn't happen in the same places at the same time, but randomly in grass.

I was wondering if perhaps the console was doing something in the background that was causing slowdown rather than related to What's on the screen?

I've started to notice this, I think it will be patched out.

I didn't notice the screen was plastic, derp.

I'm very good with my handheld devices and had a nexus 4 without a screen protector, as my daily phone, for 4 years without blemish.

I have a feeling we'll see a slight hardware revision down the line with a proper glass screen, a more robust/safe dock and possibly a more efficient chipset but it'll be a year or so down the line.

Very happy with this device and can only see it getting better.

The lack of media capability for the Switch while not totally unexpected for Nintendo is a little bit disappointing considering the versatility of the hardware. I always thought Netflix work very well on the Wii U

Whats peoples thoughts op the plastic screen? So close to getting one but those little niggles are really making me think twice at the moment.

The screen, despite having a plastic outer layer is beautiful. And.. not potato resolution. Feels so good to start waving goodbye to the 3DS.

There are no real excuses for not slapping on gorilla glass, but add a screen protector and its not a real problem. Don't let it put you off purchasing one.

The screen on it is lovely. Playing Zelda in bed on it is brilliant but it does lead to late nights...

Has anyone moaning about the frame rate actually played the game?

It slows down ever so slightly occasionally. It barely detracts from the game. I didn't see all this fuss about Fallout 4 on PS4.

Witcher 3 on X1 ran worse than Zelda as well and it wasn't particularly attacked on here.

I've played probably around 8-10 hours of Zelda. Only noticed a frame rate drop twice, once when in grass immediately after I docked it which lasted 2-3 seconds (probably CPU ramping) and once in some frantic action for 2-3 seconds but again been in similar scenes with that and more - not seen any.

I've had an Xbox One since day one, also now Xbox One S... I've seen plenty of FPS drops on titles on that previously, no different imo. Then again, I've probably had 30 hours on Xbox One since I've owned one. Only got the S for the Ultra bluray player really, the amount of games for it I still have in wrapped is disgusting... Completely lost interest in it (where I spent a huge amount of time on my 360 before the One came out), always ended up playing on my PC now a days.

The Nintendo Switch has rekindled my love of consoles, mainly due to portability and Zelda is worth every penny of the £420 odd I've spent on it buying the Switch, Zelda, Pro Controller, Case and Power Bank. It's sublime, I'll easily get 100 hours out of this game alone... Then Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in April.

Ive bitten the bullet and managed to get a brand new one for £260 off of our MM. Sold my Ps4 to help fund it as Ive only played Horizon since Blodbourne was released. Im now streamlined with a Pc for proper gaming on a nice monitor, my new 3ds xl for on the go and the switch for around the house and a bit of fun. Really looking forward to it.

Welcome bud. You won't regret it. Still amazes me the sheer scale of Zelda on something so small. You only worry now is what to name your horses, mine are Bert, Jimbo and Patrick (named after a colleague to wind him up)

My Switch is fine like majority of others, no issues. We should expect some issues reported, since they've sold so many :)
