*** Nintendo Switch ***

Has anyone tried a USB C to HDMI converter? I'm tempted to pick one up and keep that in the carry case as playing at work on a monitor would be perfect.

I'm pretty sure this has been tried and won't work, only way to output to TV is via the dock.

What we need is to be able to buy a stand alone dock.

edit - which apparently is a thing and I didn't know that. $90 but no longer available on the Nintendo store.

I'm not saying these problems don't exist! As they clearly are there. I just feel incredibly fortunate as I have not had any problems. No scratching, screen protector on since day one. I sit 7 foot from the console and only get joy con issues if I cross my legs which blocks the joycon from the console.

FPS issues in Zelda, but that's Zelda. The console has never once been audible and has never emitted any heat of noticeable difference from my warm hands. I've not had a single crash in over 20 hours play time.

I feel so lucky!

So far she's done 82. The fabric should arrive today and I have had to give her the day off work to get this all done!! Thank you to everyone, she's made up and says she will buy a new freezer with the money hehe. We will see :p

Wow that's not bad going!

If they've shipped 1.5 million of these things even at a 2% cost of quality that's going to be quite a lot of annoyed people. I work in manufacturing - though not electronics so I've no idea what percentage they would expect but expect it they definitely will. I just think everyone is shouting at once (rightly so), so the noise is louder right now.

I'm very happy with the protector that has come with the official case. Don't see me needing to change it over for a while.

That one can apparently lift with the heat of the switch in docked mode which the glass ones won't do.

I have had no problems with the Nintendo one either and will only swap to the Orzly if it does lift.

And Screen only too! I personally only want the tablet and charger so tempted to resell a new dock + HDMI cable so a whole kit for someone you cant buy it now so it further entices me to cash in now but i am skint and game has no stock. Typical...

I have seen auctions of docks though no screens as you would expect.:(

Me too, not a single problem. And it's been docked and played for 6+ hours at one point (not that proud of that haha).

I'll replace once it gets a bit beaten up.

I've just ordered a pro controller, I'm getting sick of the included joycon adaptor one, it did the job. But for long play sessions, it just doesn't cut it. And moving the sticks around causes the joycons to slide a tiny bit up and down and it does my head in. For a quick hour or 2, it's wonderful. But I can see this being a long session gaming console with the likes of Xenoblade, Skyrim and please god, PLEASE let there be a monster hunter!

£60... Not too keen on the price, but then I can use that on flights as well so no real loss.

That doesn't sound right, I have a very vey slight wobble in my left joycon when connected to the switch but only when testing it for movement, in use it's rock solid and in both the tablet and controller dock it's rock solid using the sticks no slide at all.

Still loving my switch but it will get more use when mario kart 8 releases. Was surprised to see a few left in my local Asda today.

I'm talking about with the joycon controller thing that comes with the console.

Yeah that's what I called the controller dock, my joycons don't move at all when connected to it.

Even the slight wobble my left one has in the switch is gone in the controller.

Can you get Zelda digitally? Can find switches but not physical Zelda. If so do you need an SD Card? Does digital run the same as physical p
