*** Nintendo Switch ***

DAMNIT! Just ordered one with Zelda at Argos. I'm such a mug, there's me a few pages back saying I'm shocked at the quality issues and the lineup....few days later I'm suckered in

I blame GiantBomb and their praise for it in this weeks podcast

You think thats bad. I've got an amazon wish list of Switch and accessories I want for whenever I can eventually buy it to keep track of it all :p

I'm finding the joy con grip absolutely fine, maybe kind of small? But not an issue. I couldn't justify the £60 for the pro pad but as others have said at £30 I would consider it

Anyone got Shovel knight? Never played it

What usage time is the pro controller? The joy cons are 20 hours, which isn't great. But not terrible...

I'm at 40% charge after about 25 hours.

I'm very glad I got the Pro controller as Zelda is painful to play on the grip controller configuration in comparison.

On the Switch itself though I don't find the joycons bad at all.

Yes it's excellent, but it really benefits from the Pro controller, even more so than Zelda.

Quality issues are way overblown. Majority of us have perfect ones.
Yep. The issue is, say 1% of the consoles experience QC issues, due to the sheer number sold you get a lot of people complaining. Let's not forget it is people that are unhappy that are usually the vocal ones.

I just don't see the problem. You buy, not happy? Return for full refund.

Where is the cheapest place for a pro controller currently? Don't ideally want to have to buy one at anything like £60, although would happily spend £30-40 as others have said.

Same here. Im shocked how the quality of these is all over the place but I got one anyway. Ive got a piece of selotape holding my kick stand shut so it isnt coming open while I play!

Not much chance of that i'm afraid, most places are £60. You might shave a couple of quid off that, but nothing more.

All 4 that I've received have got issues in one way or another.

I think anyone thinking that theirs is perfect just hasn't looked close enough.

I can honestly say mine is 100%

To be fair i put some self adhesive felt strips in my dock to prevent scratches and got a screen protector on
But not come across a single issue

I have looked as much as I can look. No problems that have been mentioned here or that I can see.

Joycons rock solid when docked to the console? Or do they wobble back and forth?

Compared the screen for any colour tinting?

Any gaps in the casing where the front and back join?

Any marks along the edges of the back panel where it buts up against the front edge (mainly around the top vent / along the top of the power and volume buttons?

Will check when I can :)

After all that talk about a custom tegra and xxx man years the switch ends up having just a stock Tegra x1 inside :D

Guess they got them cheap :p

Seems weird owning a newly released gaming console thats cpu gets comfortable beaten by an IPhone.
Well 50 hours of Zelda now :D
