*** Nintendo Switch ***

It gets warm in the dock after hours of Zelda but it certainly doesn't get hot. If it's overheating enough to warp it then it's poorly situated or it's faulty. Or someone sat on it!

Amazon shipped mine out yesterday and should be with me Thursday given the tracking info (not sure where its coming from to take that long!) Can not wait :D

Mine is up near Manchester at the moment in and on its way to London. Not sure why it takes 4 days to get it down the country though. At least I know it will get to me in one piece as its being shipped by royal mail as apposed to amazon logistics!

Anyone's Switches warping yet? The latest big negative not widespread issue to become a headline

Apparently users are reporting. The console itself warping maybe due to heat from prolinged docked use..

Seems a bit odd, I mean the Switch is design and clock capped to prevent excessive heating so that it is safe enough to instantly take off the dock for handheld isn't it? If it were getting hot enough to warp, surely it would not cool enough to grab? If it really did get too hot I would guess it was a manufacturing defect like the Joycons rather than a design issue (as presumably far more cases would be known).

That said, I am sure another article stated it happened after 40-50 hours docked....I can't imagine the warping occurring after just sitting idle for that long....but that would mean it was running for 40-50 hours, no wonder it got hot!

I'm not buying this, if I'm proven wrong so be it but can't imagine that happening without some external force being applied.

Doesn't seem like TechRadar have done much investigation into this and simply stuck the story up and asked Nintendo for comment, great journalism there.

Likewise. For both all those components to bend like that it has to be IMO, too hot to touch. Even if it was 50hours docked non stop, there will be downtime during that (people have to sleep) where it would cool off again.

My betting he had it sat next to rad in a shut cupboard or he sat on it.

Don't need sleep when Mipha Zelda is waiting for you ;).

I moved my dock to my desk so it's sitting on top of my PC, which is located right next to my desk, and at no time has it felt hot at all. My old PS3 was venting out far hotter air than the Switch.

Any other games apart from Zelda people are enjoying? Just got Bomberman to play with the family, played that a lot on the PS1. But really I'm itching for another open world/RPG game, playing both on the big screen and hand held made the Zelda experience a lot better for me. I'm waiting for Xenoblade 2 but that's still ages away.

Undercover? I've got it on order, ETA the 7th.

Early reviews suggesting loading times are still a joke :(

Yeah undercover. Sorry I was working when I posted earlier.

Yes I saw about the load times, which sucks. :/ hopefully it will get patched.
