Undercover? I've got it on order, ETA the 7th.

Early reviews suggesting loading times are still a joke :(

Just cancelled my pre-order, it's 3 times the price of the PC version and loading times look dire. Ruins the pick up and play benefit of the switch if load times leave you twiddling your thumbs.

^indeed.

Well I took my Switch out of the dock and removed the joycons to see how flat it is and tbh it isn't absolutely straight but so tiny of course I'd never have noticed. 70+ hours docked probably 10-15 hours handheld. Maybe it is a thing for some but you'd have to be pretty stupid to let it get that hot. Or it's faulty so send it back.

Just watched some load time videos for Lego City Undercover on the Switch, I thought they greatly improved on the load times? It's only marginally better.

The lies.

It was the first 30 minutes of the game. So on the plateau.

In which case you'd be fine anyway. The plateau never has really had framerate issues. It's other places like certain towns and such. As far as I can tell with the latest patch nothing seems too different in terms of framerates, but then again I've not been paying too much attention to it recently. Maybe it has improved? I just haven't noticed.

Don't need sleep when Mipha Zelda is waiting for you ;).

...But really I'm itching for another open world/RPG game, playing both on the big screen and hand held made the Zelda experience a lot better for me. I'm waiting for Xenoblade 2 but that's still ages away.

Personally, I find that Xenoblade Chronicles X did the whole open-world/RPG thing a lot better than Breath of the Wild. Might have helped that the map there is bigger and it's chock-full of content. If Xenoblade 2 can follow those footsteps, then good.

Also sounds like you're sleeping with the fishes... (sorry couldn't resist the pun!)

The DF post patch tests show average FPS in previous stress areas has moved from 25 to 29 FPS on Switch. No noticeable difference on Wii U.

I also saw a teardown of the Switch estimating a $257 cost of manufacture. Don't expect a price cut any time soon!

I'm really disappointed with that, one of the reasons I didn't last long with the game on the WiiU was because of the load times, now they're only marginally better on the Switch :(

I read a report suggesting the load times are also poor on the PS4 and Xbone so this isn't Switch specific, sounds like a lazy port to me.

It's also annoyed me that virtually every article about this reads something like 'Lego City Undercover load times are still bad on the Switch'. Well, the loading times are bad across all platforms, but don't let that stop your shoddy Switch put down. Scum bags.

Also got snipperclips if the wife wants to get involved ! :)

Didn't play X but I did play Xenoblade Chronicles HD on the 3DS, and it was amazing, the open world scale was incredibly huge and honestly I felt offered more to do compared to BotW. The world was also more linked with the story, large sections even changing depending on how much progress you made. That was one major thing bugging me about BotW, great open world but the story didn't feel connected enough to it.

... honestly I enjoyed Mipha's story more than the other champions :p.

Enjoyed playing the demo of Snipperclips with my wife. I thought about buying the neon joycon set ready for MK8D because they do a bundle which makes Snipperclips for £10 with a DL code. Didn't want to buy joycons though if they have the left joycon issue. Already have that with my current set that came with the Switch that I need to contact Nintendo about.

Are these in stock anywhere?

Nope sold out pretty much everywhere. I ordered mine through amazon in mid march and its only just been dispatched (but the site is still saying out of stock so i guess they are just filling pre-orders and nothing more). Nintendo had stock on their website last week for 2 days or so and sold out.

So, does anyone know if you can definitely use a Japanese top up card for my Japanese account? Really want to buy Disgea as it has English language and I was told this is possible a while ago but I would like someone to confirm it before I spend £50!

I used a US top-up card on my US account without issue so I'd assume the same with Japanese account wouldn't be a problem. I purchased Binding of Isaac and Has-Been Heroes and on my US account and it's be smooth sailing. I picked up a physical copy of Disgaea 5 from Amazon JP. 4 day delivery! Worked out around £62 all-in though.
