Plenty coming up for the Switch it seems :) - Also if this is just a teaser for E3, then it's going to be a good event for them this year.

The second they release Zelda green JoyCons, I'll be all over it.

What do you lot think of what was announced? PAYDAY2 4 person co-op sounds awesome.

With regards to the 3DS. I can see why many are saying that the 3DS doesn't make any sense, Nintendo are hurting their Switch sales etc...

But as already is said. Nintendo is a business. The 3DS is still a huge profit for them with an enormous catalogue and they've sold an a huge amount...they're not just gonna ditch it quickly. There will be plenty of families who have kids with 3DS's but not a Switch who will want new games for it. So I can see why they're doing it.

Thanks Phate for the awesome summary. I'm looking forward to PayDay and Street Fighter playing online but the price of SF makes me want to cry.

No problems. Out of that list I like the look of:
  • ARMS
  • MK8D
  • Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers
  • Sonic Forces
  • Sonic Mania
  • Fate Extella
  • Disgaea 5
  • Monopoly
  • Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition (had this on the XBO, its great)
  • Sine Mora EX
  • PAYDAY 2
  • Splatoon 2

A big part of the reason is that some of them will be especially suited to mobile gameplay IMO. I wasn't that interested in ARMS, but the more of the video I watched of it...the more I wanted it. :o

Agreed on SF2. Will wait for reviews/deals/price drops on that one.

I've also never really played a JRPG before...this console makes me want to try them!

Am also completely sold on Splatoon 2.

Eeep roll on July for me.

No fifa?

MK8D, Rayman (that soundtrack) and Splatoon 2 for me.

Some of the others might interest me but I would need more info (can't watch the video right now) before deciding. I have no interest in the Amibos, ARMS or different colour joycons.

What I want to see at E3 is more focus on the "big hitters / system sellers". Games that will get the Switch in peoples hands (like Zelda did at launch), which in turn will get more developers interested and thus give all of us more games to enjoy. Basically, maintain the momentum from launch. :)

I caved in and picked one up with zelda.

Just can't get on with it so I'm sending it back. I find the thing so uncomfortable to hold and use for more than 20 min, gave me hand cramps. I'm sure playing zelda using the pro controller would be great, but I got it purely as a handheld device to use whilst traveling, and the controls just are not good enough for me.

I also wrongly assumed it would have wireless audio capabilities, all modern stuff does right?, err seems not, big oversight.

Really wanted to like the switch. The thought of a new 2d metroid, or castlevania on a great handheld would be something else. I'll sit this one out, maybe they will revise the functional design in months to come.

Maybe try some of the grips for the joycons just to see before you send it back so quickly? Can always refund the lot if not.

Strange I play almost exclusively handheld and don't have issues.

I'm not saying Nintendo should automatically shift the focus onto the Switch and completely disregard the 3DS, that would be bad business to give up the countless millions who have already invested in the 3DS.
What they need to do is make the transition and make the Switch their priority, perhaps clearly underline this is THE replacement for both WiiU and 3DS so everyone knows their strategy. If they decide to keep Switch and 3DS going in tandem they may as well just give up on home consoles and solely develop handheld consoles, that said keeping both systems alive long term for me would be bad business. Switch has to clearly be their mantle and not a gimmicky console like what the Wiis felt like.

Anyone enjoying the PuyoPuyo demo? It's really fun and find myself keep picking this up for a quick blast. Can't wait for this to be released so I can play online.
