Flight Sim ? Hell, no ! Get it fixed and working properly on PC first ! This is what happened to MSFS 2020 ... as soon as they started patching it up to be playable on Series consoles the sim just became increasingly unstable. And now we have MSFS 2024 which is an even bigger mess.Adding to the rumour pile.... Eurogamer reporting from a leaker NateTheHate (who was spot on breaking the news that Microsoft would go "multiplatform" last year) that Microsoft will be on board with Switch 2 as a "very big supporter" with them planning to release the Halo Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator.... in 2025
I half wonder if we might see an "enhanced" version of GTA 5 released on Switch 2 at launch; based largely on the enhanced versions that were launched for PS4/Xbox One - a lot of folk would jump right in and buy it again to get it on a handheld.
Bound to happen; might as well do it at launch as people are getting excited about GTA 6 coming later....
Anyway, just waiting on an announcement now, got about £400 credit sitting in my Amazon account, might as well keep it for the Switch 2 launch!
Hopefully they'll port 4 first - kept hoping for a Switch releaseOf course we will. Ports/remasters make absolute killings if the game was big on original release. They will 100% have GTA5 on the switch 2.
It will be backwards compatible.Hoping it releases around May so I can get it as a birthday present to myself
Have been playing my Switch more lately trying to get through a large back catalog of games as backwards compatability is still an unknown at this point.
I'm sure it's physical looks to have a very similar cart slot. That’s been confirmed I think. From memory the only thing we don’t know for sure is if it means physical and digital or just digital.
From the mock-ups we’ve seen it does, yes. Just wish they’d tell us something officially.I'm sure it's physical looks to have a very similar cart slot.
My guess is there will be two types of cartridge. Switch 1 games and Switch 2 games and that the new cartridge slot will accept both. Having a different cartridge for the Switch 2 makes sense as game sizes are likely to get a lot bigger with improved graphics etc. From the mock-ups we’ve seen it does, yes. They reused the same cart across DS and 3DS and 3DS games didn’t work on DS so it’s not unprecedented.
I did see a mock up game card and the top right of the Switch 2 card was a bit wider meaning it wouldn't fit on Swotch. Could be something as simple as that.I'm sure Nintendo could comfortably increase the Game Card capacity for Switch 2 without significantly changing the form factor if they wanted to - the issue is more about not wanting people to be able to fit Switch 2 games into a Switch and wonder why it doesn't work.
