**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Definitely may buy a 1080 Ti if it arrives as quickly as some are saying. Doubt this though. The Titan XP cooler just cannot do the card justice.

Depending on price & when it gets released I may get one. Have to see how much it will cost taking into account having to buy a waterblock & backplate as well.

May just hold off for the next round of cards otherwise.
My current 980ti is performing well at 1440p at the moment & I have no plans for 4k in the foreseeable future.

I find it really odd that a 1080 Ti might be released even though the 1080 was only released 2 months ago.

This is a good way to pee off customers and lose customers in the process.

You mean like they did with the Maxwell Titan and then soon after, the 980 Ti? :p

I may not even bother with the 1080 Ti if it comes, not really impressed with Pascal especially on the price to performance. I might stick with the 980 Ti and wait for Volta like others, still a great card and handles games fine.

By the time proper games come out using DX12 I suppose Volta will be around anyway.

With the way they are still way short of getting the 1080's out this won't happen for a long time, i still can't believe i am still waiting on my classified which i ordered in may, so fed up with EVGA pathetic 1 card here 1 card there to customers:mad:

One of the guys over in the 1080 owners thread has just received his Classified. Hopefully this means the supply is improving.

Yer, that is a caveat but I would be happy to pay that. I am glad I didn't cave on a TX this time though, as I didn't fancy going the WC route and that seems pretty much a must for constant clocks and lack of noise.

Seem here learned my lesson with the last titan x couldn't stand the noise of the cooler so I water cooled it then a few weeks later the 980ti came out and I ended up buying that and selling the titan x

Now as this is now the final order of 10 challenge. Came up today. " The final #Orderof10 Origins challenge is here! https://orderof10.com "

I'm saying next week mid week we may hear something about the 1080Ti from Nvidia or by the end of the month or September 1st..

Also have a funny feeling the 1080Ti is going to be a 8GB card with 3328 cores and same clocks as the Titan X Pascal for the founders edition (reference).
