**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I've read around and it looks like as long as you replace the stock cooler you are all good.

Anyways I've already bitten the bullet and bought from nvidia. I really didn't fancy waiting around until late April/may to replace my Titan (somehow by selling it and buying the Ti plus Waterblock I'll be making £250). Can post here when the block is on with temps etc if ppl are interested.

Thats good to hear as I currently have a block with no card to go with it and nvidia currently have stock. Defientely post back with temps etc...

cool stuff. isnt msi also amongst the top sellers? i think their gaming x could sell well with good cooling/temps etc low noise fans and oc well, probably better than the evga cards. but we'll see

MSI Gaming X is a nice card but its not in the same league as Zotac Extreme and EVGA FTW3, its more a Gigabyte Gaming competitor. MSI's competing card would be Lightning which they may release in 1080Ti form but still an unknown.

now if that was the cost today i would have got 2 and wouldnt of hesitated .. i got 2 x evga 980ti SC ACX 2.0 a couple of months later at £530 each .. the 980ti's under water have been amazing and still good today with ASIC of 77.9 and 77.4 and overclock well and thought about putting custom bios on them to give them that extra .
my 980 Ti is a fantastic card I did have sli but the games I play just dont support it, The evil within, DOOM, resident evil 7, Dead rising 3. Much rather have a single card and not have to worry about sli

Was watching reviews online and noticed that a lot of them now are posting results with 1% Low frame rate, what is this? I don't remember seeing this before, although I haven't watched any reviews for quite some time is this a new thing?

Is that just in terms of performance/overclocking ability or overall? One of the reasons why that cooler is so popular is due to combination of low noise (semi-passive cooling), good temps and decent overclocking ability/stock clocks. I'm just wondering what other coolers out there perform similarly in those regards? Asus Strix doesn't usually compete with MSI for clocks and other coolers don't compete so well on the noise front. Which other coolers tick all the boxes like MSI Gaming does?

I had both a Gaming X and a Strix 980ti
The Gaming X was quieter, the strix did better clocks. The heatsink on the strix was much larger than the gaming X.
