**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

It seems to me that most people (though not all) who are buying FE editions are doing so because they plan to put the card under water. If you don't want to put it under water it seems the general consensus is to wait for the custom cards.

Personally I'm torn. I want to go water cooled, but the only experience I have is with an AIO on the CPU. By the time pay day rolls around I could get a FE with the intent of going water a month later, but by that point the custom cards will be pretty much here and it may be better to just get one of the hybrid cards instead.

Decisions decisions...
Yeah, not really sure what would be the best option. Unless there's a great AIO out there that doesn't have any pump noise issues and cools the card extremely well all over, doubt it though :p

I'm sticking with the FE cooler. I find it does a pretty good job at stock and remains quiet during gaming.

However, if you need the extra 10% performance available through overclocking, for your gaming resolution/refresh rate, then you need to go custom.
Or put it under water would be best option for FE cards. That's if you have a loop allready you can attach it to. Its what im guna do. Got cpu loop with 360 rad atm. Going to get FE card an ek block and a 140cm rad for back exhaust section of case. . Should be more than enough for loop and keeping card cool. And over all pc ambient noise low.

Yeah the EVGA being £740 was a bit of a shame as it can be had elsewhere for £699.

With regards to custom loop. Having one is the best thing I have ever done. It can be a pain at times but testing a FE card on air, even at 30% fan speed, its louder than my loop at full load.

Hi folks,

since the GPU is the only thing left for my new build I´ve got another (unexperienced) question.
I´ve read that the 1080 ti is compatible with the waterblocks of the TXP. Which one do you suggest here and what else do I need for the modification? I would have the help of a good friend of mine but first I wanted to ask what I´ll need and how much it will cost ~.

Gibbo mentioned that the custom cards will come mid-to-late april and I just CAN´T wait any longer :p:D

I think EK water blocks tend to get mentioned a lot here. If you use EKs configurator and put in 1080 Ti it spits out the Titan X water block you would need.

Any of the EK Titan X Pascal block and backplates will fit, if your anal about it having 1080ti on the block instead EK will be launching those next month I believe.

This is the one i just fitted to my Nvidia 108 ti FE i received today and this back plate :)
