**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

You nutters :) I get it, it looks really nice and performance is top notch. Understandable too if you have a loop you've built up over time and you're only changing blocks with each upgrade... But from my perspective it's just not worth it, there's no real performance gain for the outlay for me.

It only became that much because I choose to do a complete new loop build with new rads, pumps, controller and hard tubing. I could have just bought the block and fitted it into my old loop.

how is it? You stil use fans for WC looops lol
Of course, in the majority of cases you still need fans... but you can use larger/more fans at a lower speed - you are removing heat via the radiators, so overall noise is much lower. As @Greebo said, at idle you basically have zero noise, because if you have ample rads that is enough and you can have the fans turn off at that point (ok, maybe you can hear the pump sometimes).

well i have a HTPC that has case fans and a 780gtx with a air and its dead silent i cant hear a thing out of it when browsing or watching a movie.

Ive done the whole Custom Loop and it hasnt decreased noise.

Get your Air cooling stuff right and it will be just as silent as a WC setup.

I tried liquid cooling with the 1080 first time ever and boy did it make a difference. Fan on lowest, core locked at 2050 temps 38-45. The lower you can keep the temps the more stable and higher your clock will be. For only taking 2 hours tops to install an aio it's worth it I think.

Maybe for 780s and certain CPUs but if you are going for big overclocks on the cpu and pascal which are toasty then you need water IMO

And you gotta maintain the loop as well.

Is there a built in LOOP from corsair that works for GPU cards like how u can get ones for CPU's?

EKWB also does a modular AIO line of watercooling too, where you can build a full AIO loop out of pre-filled parts. I've read that there are some QC problems with it though?

Evga hybrid kits. Don't know about maintaining, it's sealed but well worth it. I'm using a 980ti kit lol. It's not for everyone but I'm a fan of liquid cooling both cpu and gpu. And with brands like evga it's easy. Support evga!

hey @Gibbo which card can I throw my money at now to get the highest chance of getting one shipped today, if possible at all? You've mentioned that you have hundreds of each FEs ordered, but any overstock expected today?

Apologies for being 'that' guy.

I already have a good water loop but I need to clean it as its gone a bit wrong somehow and the flow rate is obstructed, not sure which chemical to use though as vinegar didn't seem to help at all.

Since I need a 1080ti with a waterblock which one should I go for ? is the Seahawk one going to be much better than founders with EK block ? I like that its preinstalled and has a dragon picture ... wondering why there is a DVI port on the picture though, I thought these cards didn't have one.

Most places appear to be using the 1080 pictures to represent the 1080ti's at the moment as they don't have official pictures.
