**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Hi there

Though most custom 1080Ti are now in stock! :)

MSI Gaming X: 100-200 arriving late next week fingers crossed.
EVGA FTW3: About 2 weeks away
Zotac Extreme: 200 units due anyday and don't forget the epic VGA+PSU bundle we are doing with £100 saving on the pair.
Inno3D: All models due any day this week.
KFA2: All models due late next week including HOF's.

Everything else is pretty much in stock. :)

As people have witnessed Asus have done the best job, over 300 cards shipped to customers already and just shy of 100 in stock right now. They were the worse on 1080, on 1080Ti they are no.1, what a come back but it is a very nice card, great all rounder.

Would I be crazy to upgrade to once of these from a 295X2? I game at 1440p, Deus Ex doesn't run at max at this res on my system. Is it worth paying that much more for the TI? Sorry, slightly out of the loop!

hi guys, am new around here on the forums, thought I'd chime in on my recent OCUK purchase.

got a strix 1080 ti, had it just over a week, overall fairly disappointed with the card (previous card was msi gaming x 1080)

first off, coil whine which I know is a lottery, but this card had it fairly badly, second main issue was the fans seem to ramp up/down with a weird kinda pulsating sound? like a kind of reverberation from the middle fan?

overall both these noises combined made it pretty unbearable to play any games unless I had my headphones on.

it's a shame as the card itself looks fantastic, and the temps are pretty good for an air coolers card, but it's not something I could live with for an £800+ gpu.

thankfully ocuk have been brilliant and accepted it for a return/refund, not sure if I should wait for the evga hybrid or seahawk? everything I've read on the gaming x says it's not as good as the 1080 version thermals/noise wise?

@Gibbo

Is that 200 units of the original Amp Extreme? The £820 one with the higher clocks? I pre-ordered March 11th (almost 2 months, holy crap), but missed out during the last two rounds of stock as my payment method was outta date on Amazon Payments, and I only found out when stock came in and the order was processed, and then you guys had some issue with my order being labelled for Saturday delivery and not receiving notice of it in your warehouse as the next round of stock was delivered during the week. Last time I use Amazon Payments for sure, but please tell me it's the higher clocked one!

I'd say you either got unlucky with the card as the Strix has a reputation of being very quiet and the one other person who has coiled whine in the end it was the PSU whining, not the card, he also went from a 1080 I believe which had no whine before hand. AIO type cards tend to be the worse for coil whine as the coolers do not dampen the capacitors as much and such allow them to vibrate more which causes electrical noise. I'd advice trying another Strix, Zotac Extreme or a regular FE card. :)

Extreme, the super duper fast one! :)
We also have the Core Edition fingers crossed due late this week or next week and when those land we shall try to hit £750, but no guarantees. :)

I got my Asus 1080Ti ROG Strix OC on Saturday (thanks OcUK) and its a beast of a card. Going from 2 x GTX 680 4gb cards... WOW! I can run most of my games maxed out at 2560x1440. Games like Ghost Recon: Wildlands I have to turn a few bits down but still runs nice and smooth. I am actually starting to blow up space craft in Star Citizen now. ;)

Wildlands is awfully optomized. I got the Strix OC too, it's amazing! 4k easily with most of the bells and whistles turned up, is insane! Have fun :-)

Also, which model would be good? There are so many options!

Edit: Not fussed about budget too much, but would like reasonable bang to buck.

Oh that Zotac card looks sweet, good price too! Hovering over the buy button!

Yes the Cores when they land will be a bargain, they are Extremes, identical except for clocks as they did not pass the yield testing, but even so at the reduced clocks they are still one of the fastest out the box 1080Ti on the market and if I can hit £750 with them will be one epic deal!

How does this one compare - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/zota...s-graphics-card-zt-p10810d-10p-gx-10e-zt.html

Gibbo - do you have a link to those?

Its a good all rounder, comparable to MSI Gaming X, EVGA SC2, its not a flagship card but a good all rounder like the MSI and EVGA, plus the price makes it good value, its smaller than its bigger Extreme brother physically and still got a 5yr warranty.

Warranty wise Asus and Zotac when purchased via OcUK are right at the top for warranty/RMA support. Gigabyte are also superb as well and of course as everyone knows EVGA has great warranty too. To be honest all the brands are good as OcUK has your back anyway so generally just buy the one with longest warranty period which Zotac wins every time as they are all 5yr warranty period. :)

My super jetstrem has FINALLY been despatched, except now it's £50 cheaper than when I pre ordered, so I've gained absolutely nothing from pre ordering it. FFS...

Last time I pre order anything, especially from here.
