NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

I have been checking Nvidias website for past couple of days and no luck for a new card . No way I will pay the ludicrous prices the market is demanding for the performance it gives but I understand if you need the upgrade, I just do not. The 1080 I got for £400 just before the first crypto boom is the best gfx investment I have made in my 20 years of gaming and I am trying to be sensible with my future purchases.
my future purchases.

Since I first built a PC with my Abit mobo and Q6600 I have learnt sod all but I have watched the retailers market a lot and i know which companies give a damn. I will support those companies who I think care in my future purchases.

This is my first post of 1k because I feel it will be just as hard to get a 4800/7800 card as it is now. I will not spam but the good will of this seller is good for all of us and I WILL support them even if it costs me a few pennies/pounds.

Well hopefully I'm out of this rat race now, I joined a back order queue on a UK brick and mortar shops website for an EVGA 3090 FTW3 ULTRA, the queue had 19 people in it for this particular GPU so I am position 20.

Their queue tracker shows they shipped out 5 of these exact GPU's on 10th June, 2 on 21st May, 4 on 12th May etc etc so the queue is moving and it's not that big. Hopefully some people will drop out or accept alternative cards as they are offered to queue members as they arrive in stock so that would speed things a long a bit but as long as I have one by end of September ish I'll be happy.

I paid £1960 for it up front with a Credit Card (just in case there are any problems) and already have order confirmation. I can cancel the order at any time and I will also be offered alternatives as they arrive in stock apparently.

That seems like a decent price to me (mad I know) because I've spoken to a few eBay seller's over the last few days with the same GPU and they all want £2300 for theirs and some are even used, greedy ********.

I also ordered a new 11900k + z590 ASUS Gaming-E Mobo yesterday for £850 so it looks like the upgrades I desperately need are happening at last, CPU & Mobo arrive next week but obviously it could be a while for the GPU unless another one pops up first. Hoping to fit a Hybrid AIO kit to the GPU as well :D

£2750 all in for GPU, CPU and Mobo, not too horrendous considering that 3090's are £2400 on their own and 3080ti's are £2000 on their own.

And there are a lot of bundles out there in stock which include a 3xxx card , I don’t need all that and its frustrating retailers are leveraging shortages to increase sales and revenue. Can’t blame them for doing so however.

Its not the etailes though - GN did an expose and to get the best 3xxx cards, the distributors are forcing bundle deals including motherboards and psu`s - which arent being sold in the numbers they demand. So, if an etailer wants 50 rtx 3080 cards, they also have to take other parts as well

Yeah that makes sense that disti are doing that - happens in every market for every type of product. It also helps the retailer as well as they get higher revenue, so everyone gets a little bit extra from the consumer.

This is a true gamer, with mention of Q6600.

I literally amazed about the amount of moaning and groaning about not having a new gpu or I should be entitled to one because of xyz. There are literally hundreds on this forum quietly waiting. just because you spent x amount or how many yes I've been here doesn't make you any more entitled, all I've seen is threads and posts moaning. We will all get a gpu eventually just a little patience:)

I think you are not following it well, just go on the bay, you will see page upon page , upon page of 3080 Ti's bought up by scalpers and bots, being scalped for almost 2times the original cost.

These cards were cards that gamers wanted to buy for gaming. Many tried to get one on release day, buy they ended up on the bay fir 2times the price.NVIDIA promised to fix the situation by making LHR cards , but clearly it was a gimmick and probably a cost saving feature for them.

So these gamers have the right to moan.

PS: Never buy from scalpers , you get no warranty/RMA. Card goes pop you loose. Better buy from OcUk and so on.

There are 100+ 3080 Ti’s on the bay… most of the stock went to non gamers.

As most are saying new, sealed, etc.

Sucks to be a DIY PC builder now.

The whole 3080Ti release was a super joke! It was disrespectful to gamers! It was pathetic.

This had gone on for all the all thier FE 3 Series cards. I called it out, that scalpers were the issue not just the miners.
