*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

I have recently played Half Life, Quake and Return to Castle Wolfenstein on the Quest 2 using the Dr Beef ports and they are all good fun. Quake II and Doom 3 are next on the list to try. As these older engines work so well in VR on the Quest 2 I'm surprised someone isn't knocking out new FPS games designed for VR using (say) id Tech 4 or whatever engine works best.

Doom 3 is the best of the bunch imo , looks stunning.

Agreed, I'm crying out for Well Made AAA FPS in VR, there is just a lack of it in my opinnion.

So I’ve been playing Half-Life Alyx tonight, and holy wow. The game has totally surpassed my expectations despite the fact I’ve been dabbling in VR for a while now. I’m only very early on (so no spoilers please!) but even thought I’ve played for 1.5 - 2 hours tonight, I haven’t felt remote sick. 30 minutes on Boneworks has me feeling nauseous as anything….!

Its an awesome game, when you have completed it there are some very good map on the steam workshop. Boneworks is a killer must be all that jumping around.

I've used the ones that came with my motherboard/case for cable management duties. Gone back to trying my mvh studios headstrap for now, not sure if I'll stick with it. I have to say, I keep getting tempted to just get a DAS strap, since they're so raved about, I just can't justify that kind of money!

Hi everyone, looking to upgrade pc soon and was considering a oculus quest 2. My main pc is in the parlor next to dining room table, would the airlink work if i used it in my living room where there is a lot of space (connected over 5g wireless). New to all of this so thanks for any help or advice :)

Would games you have installed in steam on your pc work on OQ2 over wireless

Thank you for that :) My main system is a ryzen 5 3600 6 core/12 thread, 16 gig ram and a radeon rx 6600 xt when i can get one on a windows 10 system so i am hoping it will get the job done for some VR fun

It should be good enough for VR. You won't be able to max settings on more intense games, but you should be able to play!
