Anybody get Star Wars VR, Tales from the Galaxy's Edge?

I am going to wait until they release a Patch, Good reviews but seems to have a few issues.

My £30 5m cable with booster from Amazon arrived. Linked by me a few posts back but booster version is oos. So my problem is I only have usb 3.0 so maybe 3.1 or 3.2 would be better. But I have 3 different hubs, the back one and the front one on my gigabyte x99 gaming 5G. And an innoteck (I think) pcie one.
All connect at usb 3
The pcie one connects at 2gbs, my rear connects at 2.3 and my front at 2.4

It reccomends i stick with 72hz at 4000, ish by something resolution. When I go to 80 or 90 it warns me it may give issues. When I up the bit rate it also warns me. I dunno if this is legit or just does this for everyone . Not actually tried it yet.

Hey all, I'm wondering, how long did it take for your Quest 2 to get shipped?

I know it's a bit hectic at the moment with the AMD GPU launch and stuff, but I'd like a point of reference.

On the flipside after the official update I am far more accurate in beat saber than I was wit the sidequest 90hz patch and games take no longer to load than normal. I do get stutter in the homescreen, but none in any games, and I got the patch the first day it launched.

Just tried it again and the tracking is definitely worse for me. It's like it goes dead for split second than continues.

Tried it Beat Saber and Pistol Whip. Same problem.

Maybe you should try a factory reset. Some some people on reddit were having tracking issues and a factory rest helped

Downloading the update now. Slowly introducing my dad to all the different things. Managed to party up with him just now and talked him through getting Mission ISS and oculus TV, left him watching the Micro Monsters series :D.

Think I had the tracking issue. Played Beat Saber for around half hour and there were two occasions where I swung my saber and it just didn't register, I've not exactly played loads up to now but its never happened before.

I did the factory reset. It's not to bad a process. Currently reinstalling all my apps and games again which is the worse part of the whole process.

Don't know if it solved my tracking problem yet but I did notice one thing, everything has become a clearer especially text. Which leads me to believe that something went wrong somewhere during the update.

Hello all, been watching this thread with interest since I bought my Quest 2 last week. To be fair Iv been absolutely blown away by what is my first VR experience. I actually jumped on board after being 1800 and something in the queue for a TUF 3080 and as Iv got a 2080ti at the moment thought my money might be worth a punt on one of these so glad I did. anyway as like a lot of you I was eagerly anticipating version 23 which dropped in my headset overnight and wow what a difference. Tried squadrons before on link with 72hz and settings on high and it was a bit mehhhh, ran ok but looked pretty blurry and compressed. Trying it now post update in 90hz and full 1.7 render resolution looks glorious, night and day difference to my eyes although it is making my pretty high end system seriously work. I’m also not sure if a 3080 wound have actually made much difference anyway I also have the “no internet connection” error in the explorer bar to when connected via link which has only happened since the update last night. Other than that no real issues to speak of. If this rumoured 120hz update comes to fruition next year then I think this could be a valve index killer at this price. Thanks again with all the info that everyone’s posted on this thread including the above link.

Ordered mine at 12.30pm yesterday lunchtime. Received shipping notice at 3am, DPD confirmation at 7.30pm tonight.

So I’ll get mine on Monday, given that DPD still don’t ****ing deliver on Saturdays. The biggest online retailer would have had it delivered by Saturday.

That's still pretty fast and at least you got a shipment confirmation rather quick, even if it was at 3am.
Makes me wonder who updates or sends the shipping confirmations, if it's somehow automatic, or OCUK warehouse staff does nightshifts.

I placed the order on Monday, granted it's through DHL Worldwide Express, but still, they have it in stock and I was expecting at least some movement from Monday until today.

Ah well, hopefully I will hear something on Monday.

Anyone else getting headset crashing when playing oculus link since the update? From what I can gather it seems like it's the headset crashing not the pc.

Coming from a CV1 I am dead impressed with the image quality of the Q2 when hooked up to my pc.

at 90hz 4000x2000 ish resolution ED text has never looked so clear for me.

I have not even fiddled with the bitrate yet.

It's still early days and may have issues I have not noticed yet but for now I am optimistic. Only downside is the FOV is a little worse than CV1 (and I always felt the CV1 was the lowest I would go on FOV. But for £300 or less it's a hell of a package

Yeah, it's a massive update for the Quest 2. Been able to use the full resolution on the link cable makes a big difference to the Visuals. Increase the Bitrate should help any compression artifacts, you will see them mostly in dark scenes.

I don't think the FOV on the Reverb G2 will be much bigger.

It's giving you a good idea of what to expect when you do get the G2. It should be another step up again in Clarity.
