Bought it this morning and played for about 45 mins! It seems alright. Not been blown away yet. Certainly more open then Vader Immortal. Some elements look nice and others, well I’m a bit disappointed. It go as far to say parts of it look horrible. Think I’ve been spoiled with Alyx, even though I’ve got a pretty poor setup.

You can’t really interact with very much either. Done a few shooting sections and it was quite fun. Hoping another blast will make me enjoy it a bit more.

Read that there's no replayability. All I really want from a star wars game is a roguelike with a lightsaber I reckon.

The pcie one connects at 2gbs, my rear connects at 2.3 and my front at 2.4

It reccomends i stick with 72hz at 4000, ish by something resolution. When I go to 80 or 90 it warns me it may give issues. When I up the bit rate it also warns me. I dunno if this is legit or just does this for everyone . Not actually tried it yet.

So I've tried both of these cables, one with booster, and one without, and neither register as a USB 3 connection. I've tried different USB 3 ports via a USB 3 card, tried inverting the USB-C end, tried on a laptop with a proper USB 3 port. Nothing.

It sounds like its ok. Like Vader Immortal, no real interaction apart from what they allow. Is there any other game modes like Vader Immortal had with the Dojo?

I tried it without my usb extender and it runs fine, I'll try that reset when I have a second though because I wouldn't mind been able to move about a bit.

Picked up a G29 today though so I expect I'll be sat down for the majority of the weekend.
 
Plugging headphones in...How do you adjust the volume?

I've plugged my q30s in with an AUX cable and it takes away the ability to use the volume buttons on the headset and its just not loud enough.

Yeah yeah rub it in ;)

I do want this 1 day but I have plenty to go at. I do seem to miss out a lot. Bought Oculus touch full price , damn things never worked properly. Oculus cut the price and gave people a load of store credit but I missed out again by a week or so. Again made worse because my Oculus touch didn't work very well until the patch AFTER those freebies.

Oh well.

Lol actually I am really close to either cancelling or just selling the reverb on unopened. The quest 2 is a.quality device considering the cost.

I know part of the price is your personal data to Facebook but screw it, privacy is so last millennium.
 
How many people have hit the wall yet with the controllers?.
I was playing the walking dead this afternoon and turned around quickly and hit the door which had been opened. A right smack!.

The controller is still working fine , made a few shiny marks on it!.

Just wondered how people went on with the quest 1 and how robust the controllers are?

The Rift CV1 controllers were the gold standard of controller robustness. They seemed to be made out of an alloy of Adamantium, Mithril and old nokia phone plastic. My CV1 controllers had numerous battle scars but still worked fine.

The Quest 1 controllers are nowhere near as robust. There seems to be a weak spot at the top of the ring, where it can split, even if the controller isn't mishandled. The rings themselves are also nowhere near as good at handling impacts as the CV1. I have a small crack in one of my controllers rings, where it got bashed at some point.

I've not seen any reports of broken Quest 2 controllers yet.
