*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Lol actually I am really close to either cancelling or just selling the reverb on unopened. The quest 2 is a.quality device considering the cost.

I know part of the price is your personal data to Facebook but screw it, privacy is so last millennium.

I think as soon as you put on the Reverb G2 headset you will be like, oh!! I can't go back to the Quest 2!! :)

How many people have hit the wall yet with the controllers?.
I was playing the walking dead this afternoon and turned around quickly and hit the door which had been opened. A right smack!.

The controller is still working fine , made a few shiny marks on it!.

Just wondered how people went on with the quest 1 and how robust the controllers are?

The Quest 2 controllers are pretty good. Feel stronger than the Rift S controllers.

So I've tried both of these cables, one with booster, and one without, and neither register as a USB 3 connection. I've tried different USB 3 ports via a USB 3 card, tried inverting the USB-C end, tried on a laptop with a proper USB 3 port. Nothing.

Both will be getting returned.

This won’t help as it’s the obvious solution, after trying multiple Amazon and eBay cables all around the £30 the last week or so I caved in and bought the extortionate official link cable. I can now see why it’s expensive, don’t get me wrong it’s not £89 cable but it is a significantly lighter more flexible cable and if much higher quality. Currently passing 3.0Gbps on link USB test and lowest is 2.9GPS dependent on port. I’m currently using the Virtual link port on the back of the 2080ti which seems marginally faster than the main motherboard USB-C sockets.

IF I could be certain of the tracking i would not be worried I am trying to work out if Incan justify this headset just for seated experiences. IF I can do that and i end up getting on with the motion controllers then that would be the cherry on the cake.

Experienced quite a bit of crashing since everything got updated, turns out it was my usb extension cable...since the usb update it no longer passes the built in usb test

I borrowed an £18 cable from a friend, seemed to work well and the test showed 2.3Gbps, which I figured was pretty good, so I've ordered the same one. I would would go with the Anker if it had a right angle connector. The official one would be great but it just feels like too much, and I'm only planning to use a cable when seated.

This is the one I tried, not exactly a convincing brand name but anyway....
