My [email protected] hits 44c at load when room temp is at 23-24c and about 37c idel, or thats what my bios tells me. Edit: Vcore reading in cpu z is 1.22v and 1.17v when cpu isnt working very hard(speedstepping)

Yes they are still enabled, should give me any problems with it on should it?
Is there anything else that should be disabled on this board? I disabled on board sound as i'm using an Xfi.
My cpu is Q6600 G0
no, but that is why you are seeing such a large voltage drop when idle & the vcore then increasing when put under load.

What settings do I need to set in the BIOS for the Balistix PC5300 RAM? I heard you have to run them at 2.2v. How would I set it to 1:1, as well? Cheers.

Ah I see, thanks for that.
Still at 1.5575 in bios and now idle is varying 1.490 - 1.520 and load is 1.470 - 1.490 so thats pretty good, i'm off to push for 3.8Ghz
edit - that was the worlds quickest prime fail
Took all of a few seconds for thread 4 to error with a fatal rounding error, ah well.

Im going to take the chance and order another "4GB (2x2GB) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5-5-5-18" and keep everything crossed and hope my board dosent throw its toys out of the pram

Personally I've never had any issues installing Vista with more than 2gb.

You'll probably have to up the northbridge/MCH volts. Maybe also the memory and CPU voltages a tiny bit too.

Your MCH looks to still be on the lowest setting, so it'll likely have to go up two notches. The DDR2 Reference Voltage option will probably have to be set to +2% too.
MCH = NB, ICH = SB.
Ummm explain? This is my first board that I have messed about with the voltage, so basically I only know what 2 voltage mean and thats the vcore and ddr.

The MCH (Memory Controller Hub) is what Intel calls the northbridge. It controls the FSB and the memory.
ICH (I/O Controller Hub) is what Intel calls the southbridge. It controls the PCI lanes (graphics cards, hard drivers etc).

CPU: 1.28V
MCH: 1.33V
CPU VTT: 1.18V
ICHIO: 1.5V

Anyone help me out with some settings to push the fsb further as i cant get 415 stable with current settings Looking for 430 fsb min really.

Concentrate on the MCH and VTT voltages. Your CPU voltage *should* be fine for 430x7.5.
